Is $350 a good deal to powder coat my rims?

I was shopping around in Sacramento and I was quoted $350 at one shop circa matte black color. Another shop quoted me $385. Last shop said from $350-400. Are these

Default Is $350 a good deal to powder coat my rims?

I was shopping around in Sacramento and I was quoted $350 at one shop circa matte black color. Another shop quoted me $385. Last shop said from $350-400. Are these reasonable prices?

I want a blue strip around the rims and the shops wanted an extra $100. Reasonable??

My solid colors were about $400. I was told the tape used to do the pin striping does not promote a clean transition (un even finish) and that it was difficult to make it perfectly circular owing to the tape does not like to bend. Just what I was told…….

I think it really depends on what you can find. I've powder coated 2 sets, first set was 18's flat black winter rims, cost me $350 and got them back in a week.

Randomly drove through an industrial district and saw another powder coater and asked him how much to do my stock 19' rays, he said $200 cash and he would sandblast first, took him 48 hours to have them back to me.

I was equally pleased with both sets but thrilled with the price and speed of the second set.

That matches what I've been quoted from reputable PC vendors in the past

My powder coater here in Texas is 80-95 a wheel, depending on color. As for the stripe around the edge, you should get that hand pin striped. Quoates for that around here are roughly 25-50 for all 4 wheels.

yes...I would also suggest you buy vinyl for that blue strip and not get paint. If a rock hits the vinyl you just get your self a replacement strip...same if you curb your rim. Paint is a bigger pain to fix.

Not ridiculously over priced, but still a little high in my opinion..... We powdercoat a few sets of wheels a month satin (semi gloss) black, we charge $270 for all four

If the $350, includes dismount, mount, and balancing the wheels than go for. That's the same price that I given down here in LA. Oh and they strip the oe paint.
