Question Noob Spacer Question

Know nothing about spacers. So...
  1. Hypothetical situation: You have 18x9.5" rims with et 47. If you then add a 20mm spacer, what is the effective offset? 27mm?
  2. Weight: What does a typical Ichiba or H & R wheel spacer weigh?
Thanks.

I have the 20mm H&R's, they are pretty light but I would definitely recommend that you purchase extended studs as well.
