Wheel spacers... a couple questions...
 

So I searched around and couldn't seem to find any info on this forum about my two questions. So..... I am putting on some spacers tonight, 20mm. I was wondering if in anyones experience, did it affect your alignment, particularly the camber due to the wider stance. The type of spacers I bought are the ones that bolt onto my lugs and then have bolts in between those to extend (sorry, I don't know the name for this type). Question is, do you have to retorque the spacers onto the lugs? (ie, take the wheels off and re-tourque a couple days later) They are some kinda japanese spacers and had no instructions other than japanese instructions. lol.

since you will be lowering the wheel rate of the suspension you might get a tad bit more camber if the car sits slightly lower but you probably wont even notice it. i haven't needed a alignement after adding spacers. mine is at ET27(F)/ET15(R).

for the inner smaller lugs i use a dab of loctite blue and let it cure over night.

if you're using the spacers with lugs built into the spacers you will need to do some grinding on the front if 20mm. search around as ive posted that already somewhere.

It will affect the camber to a small degree but I would not bother getting an alignment for just the spacers... Also retorqing them is a good idea but not mandatory. You could wait a week or so to redo it.

To avoid this, put 23mm on the front i.e 20mm spacer + 3mm spacer together.

depending on which spacer used, the 3mm will make the hubcentric ring useless as there's a taper on the center bore on the wheel side... and put undo stress on the studs and potentially break them off.

instead of making another thread ill just ask this here anyone running 25mm all around?
