Most people go for 19x9.5 & 19x10.5 but nothing wrong with what you listed. The ride quality may dip slightly with the lower profile tire
but the handling and appearance of a quality wheel and tire will more than make up for it.

If you can attend a local meet and get a ride in a friends car with an aftermarket setup that would be a good way to determine it for yourself.

Yea that is a good idea, i did it with my truck. I had a friend who had 24's and rode with him and it was great. So Waizzz what size do you have on your car... Your looks good...

going wider will not alter your ride much if at all. You can run 19x10 in front as well and a 19x11 or 12 in the rear too.

I am running 20 x 10 up front and 20 x 12 in the rear as an example.

That is the stock size for the Sport package. Wider tires and rims are a little more prone to tram-lining but other than that ride quality generally isn't affected (a little more road noise maybe depending on tire selected).

Thanks, my setup is 19x8.5 (+5) & 19x9.5 (+10) w 20mm spacers.

EDIT: My wheels are very similar to the Volk TE-37's (minus one spoke) that other members in this thread have purchased:
