two tone powder coat rims
Is it any harder to do a two color powder coat on rims than a single color? I have a blue Z and want to powder coat them as the back rims were messed up a bit by replacing the tires. They fixed it but I can still tell a difference between the front and back rims now so I was thinking of powder coating. I want some blue in the rims but silver too as an all blue rim is too much for me.
Also any ideas on where the blue would look best but not too overpowering? Thanks.

Can anyone photoshop some blue into this pic please? Maybe along th outside rim and the Vs and maybe another with blue on the flat area that starts where the lugs are and goes towards the rim?

it is harder, so it will cost more. you have to figure about an hour per wheel for a really good masking job. there are several ways of doing it, but if I were doing them (but I only powdercoat wheels for myself and the guy who does my website), I would lay the blue down first, fully cure, then after cooling, mask off the blue, coat the black or silver, and finish it all up with a coat of clear.
When I coated wheels, I charge 100 per wheel for a single color. Something like this would be 200 easily.

the highlight colors. It should last forever, or at least until you are tired of it.
these are my friend w0ady's wheels, he tracks his car and the vinyl is holding up fine.
