Venaci VS124, need higher side wall tyres
hi there guys,
i hope that the tyre guys here will be able to help me out. i have a set of venaci VS124 in the following size: Front: 20x9.5 (+11) with 255/30 tyres Rear: 20x12 (+17) with 305/25 tyres my question to you is i have a full amuse kit going on and tein mono-flex. And with these tyres, when the car is lowered there still will be a vearly large gap between the top of the tyres and the gaurds!, so i was wondering whether or not i can go with a 305/30 rear and 35/255 front with higher sidewall, or somthing a little bigger to fill the gaurds so i would'nt have to drop it completely on the ground? also would you guys think i would need camber arms? thankyou in advance for any suggestions |

The tire sizes you are going with are fine, and with the offsets and size of your wheels I wouldnt try to put any bigger tires. You are definately going to need camber arms to make the 20x12 look flush, and a drop will be needed to. THe H&Rs should make your car sit right on top of the tires, but getting higher profile tires is a no no.

Going with bigger tires is a bad idea.

it's just that the rolling diameter of my new wheels and tyre's are alot smaller then that of the standerd 18's, so i thought by going up a tyre size would fix that?

You are changing your tire height by about an inch which in turn throws off your rollout distance by about 4 inches. Your speedometer will definitely be off. You may even create rubbing issues.
Check this out for more details on the change in size. Tire/Wheel Combination Calculator

You are going to a 20" wheel, and no matter what you do it will still throw things off. Thats just the name of the game, if you REALLY want to have exact speed invest in a GPS is all I can tell you.
For fitment which should be more important to you, what your going with is perfect, and is going to look great. Its just definitely not a good idea to go any bigger. |

I don't know what the stock 18" sizes are. Check them in the calculator I posted and see which wheel and tire size is closest to stock without going bigger. From what I have seen the tires sizes you already have are the best match.
But honestly if you are dead set on bigger tires then get them. Let us know how it works out for you.

Volk GT-30's 20X9.5+35 Front..255/30/20 20X10.5+10 Rear..305/25/20 So is this looking like the best setup for me aswell ? I've got the sport pgk with stock suspension and ride height, i'd go with coilovers if that would give a smoother ride. I had Eibach springs and removed them as i found the ride worse than stock. Thanks for any help.
