KICS 15mm front spacer doesnt fit
I just recieved my KICS 15mm spacer....so happy and excited, until......
The installation went downhill.....due to the front stock studs were too long. I just want ppl to be aware of the problem. The stock front studs were too long, and when install the wheel, the stock studs push the wheel out. The spacer and the wheel could not come to a flash. I wish someone did mention something like that to me ahead, but sigh............ (may be someone did post something about it, but still....) On the other hand, I think the 20mm may work...What do you all think? Feel free to post some input. Well just to be fair, CZP and everything about the KICS spacers were awesome (except the front wheel problem), shipping were super fast and easy. Cheers |
You need 20mm for the front. If you searched the forum you would of found this out.

15mm front bolt-on spacers will not clear as the studs will not fit behind the wheel. Recommendation is to either use spacers with extended studs (press-in type), or use a larger spacer.

new word "search" ...many posting about spacers.
|
Lesson Learned.....but before i purchased the spacer, I made sure i ask. I asked the guy if 15mm KICS will fit front n rear, and he said they will fit with no problem.

Sorry to hear this...did you talk directly with "KICS" sponsor?, if so talk to them & ask for exchange or refund.
Other option is to keep them & use, but read posting on how to install w/ pics if your not sure how to exchange studs...good luck. |
Ouch! I might run into the same problem as you. I ordered 10mm spacers but for my rears...

You can get a 5mm plate and put it behind the 15mm spacer. should make it clear.
|
shouldve checked the modshack DIY section for spacers.
the 20mm will require slight grinding on the wheel. i posted somewhere. if you're sure you want to do 15 or 20 permanently for your stock wheels you should get the ones that come with new studs for the front. |
cut off the excess. ghetto, but it works

with 5mm spacer no problems using existing studs. |

Don't cut the factory stud excess cause you might want to get other wheels in the future and may require new studs. |
