Factory Sport Rims

Does anyone know what the blue dot on each of the factory 19 inch sport rims is for? It's a little blue dot close to the edge of the rim.

i think thats the heavy spot on the wheel. the people who put the tire on have to offset the heavy spot of the wheel and tire.

Btw, just take your thumb nail and the blue paint will shear off.

BTW, I noticed there are little square metal pieces on the inside of each rim. I'm assuming these are the equivalent of the weight bars that normally go on the outer edge of the rim on conventional rims to balance the rim. Are these square metal pieces glued on or they are permanently a part of the each rim? My concern is that I'm planning to have one of my rim re-finished because it got scratched by the curb. I was wondering if these pieces will come off when they re-finish the rim and are they going to put conventional weight bars back on to replace these square pieces. I just want to have the re-finished rim looking exactly like factory condition after the job is done.

Those are weights to balance the wheel. It's on with double sided tape. When you remount the tire, they will install new ones so it's ok to remove.
