Just wanted to thank Rick at Status Autoworks for getting me a good deal on the wheels and Ken at Shine Auto for hooking me up with the carbon kevlar kit.

OMGWTFBBQ 09-09-2010 07:32 PM

Haha nice. When I read "skidplate", I thought you made an entire metal front undertray to protect the entire lip while adding to the aerodynamics. Something similar to a front splitter. :p

abgyak 09-10-2010 02:26 AM

By the way how deep is ur front and rear lips? Im assuming 5.5inch on the rears and 4 inch front?

fuct 09-10-2010 09:25 AM

ive been wanting to do something similar to my nismo front lip like those skid plates. nice job!

Javy 09-10-2010 11:02 AM

Spec Jay 09-10-2010 04:59 PM

how did you secure your lip to the bumper? possible pics?

OMGWTFBBQ 09-10-2010 06:48 PM

Haha good job Keng. Now you're going to have all the lowered Z owners fabricating skid plates for our cars now.

I have two screws on each side of the bumpers, two brackets like the one kerv posted on his build thread and double sided tape on the center section.

Use the countersunk rivet this way they dont get grinded off so easily when they make contact with the road.

Westwood 09-25-2010 08:36 AM

I looooove it man! the only thing that bugs me is the green/brown looking carbon :( i know its the Kevlar carbon and thats the reason why i bought regular carbon. but no mater what your Z is sick ma dude :D

gorillanismo 09-25-2010 10:12 AM

sorry but now is the time that I enter this thread...

wow man!!! you have one of the best 370 that I ever look...
its pure sex!!! I love it...

you have great taste...

RCZ 09-25-2010 01:41 PM

err...black, polished, white, carbon kevlar...not sure that those work with each other and too low IMO, silly low. How its possible to daily drive that without ripping parts off on a regular basis? Meh, not my cup of tea, specially with decals of brands that don't sponsor you on the hood on. The parts you got are awesome, very high quality and look amazing on their own...the execution of the overall look is meh, looks like it doesn't know what it wants to be and that you don't have a theme. Remember, its just an opinion and not a personal attack at all, its your car and if you like it thats all that matters.

WRONG person to be calling a hater. You are calling a guy, that has a supercharged 370z a hater, that just doesnt make sense. I think he is just saying, You have alot of colors, and shades going on and it doesnt all blend amazingly. Pretty much REALLY great parts, just the end execution doesnt flow too well.

I think the car looks great, but like I said, just something about the kevlar. You said it though, it will be a hate it or love it type of thing. Your car is still sexy, and I think you did a great job and a nice aggressive setup.

I dont think you understand, just b/c he doesnt like a car setup, doesnt make him a hater. Yes this would be valid if he was a 17 year old, but us older more mature people respect others ideas and looks on what they think looks good.

I was simply stating that RCZ is a guy of subtle taste, and loves his stocks. As soon as you have been around long enough, you will know which members that deserve a little more respect. You are a newbie, so we will let you off on this one. Trust me man, RCZ is far from a hater. Lets stop derailing this thread, OP can you post some pics of the rear, would LOVE to see how those wide wheels look from the back.

Westwood 11-25-2010 11:48 AM

i was looking at your Z again and im happy i got the normal Carbon! not feelin the kevlar greenish look but its all bout what we like so kuddos my man! psss you should smoke your tails my dude :D

what does age have to do with it also? im not saying RCZ is a hater but your opinions of who is a hater or not is biased.

onto the car looks great i wanted a set of gold vs-xx's for mine but my white te's look just as great maybe ill get em some day. kevlar isnt really my thing either but maybe match up some of those bride gias with carbon kevlar shells in the classifieds and you'll have a good theme goin!
