.
I'm curious, what are you trying to accomplish? It may look cool but unless you have forced induction and need a bigger contact patch to prevent spin-out at launch, the added unsprung weight will cost you horsepower and the car won't handle as well on the track.
Just the cool factor, The z is my DD.no track car, just like to push it from time to time. |

Re11 is a great tire used to have them on my corvette. The rRE11 always took back seat however in the corvette forums to the Michelin pilot SS ....so has anyone compared these and why are these prefered here? I was going for the king of performance tires the SS. But this thread got me wondering what am I missing?

My Costco said the re-11 are discontinued, but I see tire rack still has them. Has anyone tried the new Pilot Sport 4s? It is a hybrid compound tire with softer compound on the outside part of the tread for handling and firmer compound in the center and inside edge.
Probably too early to get feed back on tire wear, but I am looking for a tire that would be good for a lot of track time. |

285/35/19's on the front and 325/30/19 on the rear with Nismo wheels. So basically take your rear tires and move them to the front and put 325/30/19's on the rear.

I think people confuse that the Re-11 was discontinued in certain sizes and that gap was filled by the re-11a. Pretty sure the RE-11 in the sizes available now are very much alive and well lol Also 265/305 on sport wheels fit and drive very nicely.

Interesting. The shop I got my RE11's from last year said the RE71R was the replacement for it. There was practically no RE11 inventory available last summer, only what certain shops had in hand - and it took me a lot of calls and emails to find the ones I did. Good to hear they can still be had. Didn't know about the 11a, sounds like they changed the compound/tread wear rating on them. Even better!
