Once again, you get what you paid for. The RE11 grips better but doesn't last as long as the RE760. You have to decide if it is worth the money

I'm not familiar with Bridgestone tires. On my last car I always ran Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. I don't see anyone running these on here and the asymmetrical tires seem to be a favorite over directional.

I neverd noticed this for myself. The only tire I've owned that got louder as they wore was KDW's.
They are nice tires and last pretty great. But they cost so much more that I can't justify them. I'm picking up some AD 08's tomorrow. They match equally up to RE11's plus there about 20 to 30 cheaper per tire.

All the guys I know run the same lap times on PSS, RE, and AD. They actually liked the PSS over all. This one guy was putting down a 1:30 at Road Atlanta on PSS. I know some that have a hard time doing this on slicks. This was on a GTR for reference.

AD08 yes they are very fast, probably faster than RE11. PSS, give me a break. I am sorry, if they are recommending PSS over the RE11 for pure dry performance purposes, they need to try both tires again and look at the lap times. If you have driven on both tires on the track/autox, you will know how much stickier the RE11 is. I drove on the PSS last year in a Boxster S, it was a great tire, but it ran slower than my car on RE11. I drove them on a GT3 again last month, it didn't have the same grip I had on my 370 even though the GT3 is way faster. Btw I am not saying the Michelins are crappy tires, they are just not at the same level from the dry performance point of view. If you want a fast street tire, go with either AD08, RE11, Star Spec, NT05, R1R, RS3. Everything else is a step down and you are joking to yourself if you think otherwise.
You want to talk times. I think I drove the 997 GT3 .4 sec faster than my 370. I know some of you think the 370 is special, but is it really only .4 sec slower than a GT3? I wish. The runs are on youtube if you want to verify it. In case someone accuse me of being a Michelin hater, I actually love them. I have a pair of Michelin slicks and I run their other tires on my Toyota. I just know there lap times on those tires with that car and driver. I have a hard time also believing a tire with 300 treadware (PSS) can be so great. I do know the car (GTR) and the driver are great. That's most likely the cause. My main arguement was I thought you where hating on AD 08's.

With everything said, the time difference between the two tires are probably 1-2 sec at the most. In motorsports, that is a lot to make up. You have to decide if it is worth it to you. My friend tracks his GT3 once a year and daily drives 5000 miles a year, the PSS are perfect for him and he loves them (except when he had to miss last week's event due to a flat tire) even though he knows they don't have the grip like my Bridgestone. Speaking of tires, I had to drive my car through a downpour. I got about 10K miles on my current set and all the tires are down to the wear bars now! Btw, I can lap my 370z on the Hankook V12s faster than my Prius on 4 slicks, yet I know full well the V12s aren't faster than the slicks..... |

[QUOTE=SPOHN;1844113]I neverd noticed this for myself. The only tire I've owned that got louder as they wore was KDW's.
My 350Z experience with KDW's were the loudest tires out. The stock 370Z become loud as they wear. I will check out AD08's. Any tire I installed in either my 350z or 370Z has last approx. 18K- 21K miles regardless of the wear rating. To recap, I am inquirying about tires for a daily driven 370Z (no track time) that get approx. 20K -25K miles do not increase in tire noise with between 5/10 and 3/10 remaining tire trend.
