I ONLY DD my Z.
with size 245/40/19 is a 4 pound per tire increase from the pss's
but only a 1 pound increase in the rear with the 285/35/19.
got weight's off tire rack.
do the traction benefits of the re11 outweigh there weight drawbacks?
there's really no reason 10 extra pounds of weight should bother you lol if so take the spare out or drop a nice log.

the RE-11's do grip much more and feel more stable than the PSS's. on the dragon I rolled a PSS. the RE's just grip and went on it.

o ok, I was told or I read that unsprung mass (wheels tires rotors) was way more important and had a bigger impact.
but I'm almost set on going with the re11's this year to try em out in 245f/285r

that is minimal but yes that is true. I mean ever bit helps but unless you're 100% tracking your Z the difference isn't big enough of an impact I feel if you just DD it and maybe hit a back road or a track day a year etc..

I run 265/305 RE-11s for the last 2 years now and love the set-up.

If you are that concerned with weight get light weight rotors and that will make up for the extra tire weight and then some.

Funny u say that, I'm ordering the the Z1 20lb rotors when I order the tires.
can't wait, think I'm gonna go with the sprinkle pattern but haven't decided. I just wish re11's has the size selection that pss's have with a 35 profile like the 255 or 265 tire.
or even better yet a selection of the re-11a's.....

I live in Florida and end up in the rain at least 2 times a week. The RE-11's hold as well or better than the factor yokohama or the continental dw. Even down to the 2/32 bars I still have wet traction. I know the water has to go some place. The outside has huge channels even in the worn state. It is time for new shoe's but I thought you should all know I still have wet traction. Dry traction is insane, STILL!!! 265/35 front 305/30 rear.

Lol, I just replaced mine today as was at 2/32 bars as well. I also drove this weekend in the wet and they still pretty good. The new rubber is awesome!

RE-11's...305 and 265! I decided not to with the big boy shoes for now as I still don't know what I want to do for wheels in the future.

I'm gonna be in the market for some new tires for my NISMO (OEM NISMO wheels) here pretty soon. I'm debating between the Bridgestone S-04's and the RE-11's. Are the RE-11's worth the extra $350-400 over the S-04's? I use my Z for street driving with an occasional auto-cross race.

love my re-11s, i commute from md to ny each weekend and have been in all kinds of conditions and never lost grip. couple weekends ago i did opening day at watkins glenn international. obviously didnt hit and absurd speeds but with my spirited driving through the turns i felt planted and stuck to the track
