Porsche 997 turbo rims on Z?
Hey guys... need alot of help here... I know this sounds like a stupid idea but basically I can get a full set of Porsche 997 Turbo wheels for very cheap off a friend and I need to know if there is a possibility at all of them being mounted on my Z!?
I dont know enough about the stock fitments or the offsets to tell if they would even fit... probably unlikely as the rear wheels are hell wide but I would love them if I could get them on there!!! Attached is a picture of the wheels im talking about... All the info I have on them is that they are Fronts 19 x 8.5 ET56 Part 997-362-156-05 Rears 19 x 11 ET51 Part 997-362-162-02 I have found this Hub Adapter from H&R (see bottom of the page on the link) 2003 Nissan 350Z Applications || H&R Special Springs, LP But im pretty sure they would be too wide to fit on with a hub adapter that has a 25mm spacer?? Am I right? Is there an option of re-drilling them? I saw that someone put Aston Martin rims on a Z but they were the same bolt pattern i think? Wheel people help me out!!! hahahah farrrrrrk! Was such a good deal and would look so good, not to mention the 11's on the rear. hahah
So not even with one of those H&R hub adapters will they fit? Why is it a terrible offset? Thanks for the help dudes!! |

The offset is actually not bad if he is looking to run an adapter-- it's actually pretty decent. Most adapters will effectively space the wheels out 20-30mm.
I guess it depends on how good of a deal you're getting. If you can resell them for more than what you pay (for rims + spacers), I'd test it out... |

Funny you ask, I'm running Porsche wheels on my Z too
You'll need two pairs of the H&R adapters and they'll bolt right on. You'll want to change the tire sizes though since Porsche tires are too short. I'd run 225/45/19 or 245/40/19 fronts 285/35/19 or 305/30/19 rears The front fittment will be a little weak, kind of how 15mm spacers look on the stock front wheels. Rear will fit very nice with stock alignment, stock ride height or lowered on springs. Should come out a bit more if lowered on coilovers with some extra negative camber. Your final offsets with the H&R 25mm spacer adapters will be: 19x8.5 et 31 front 19x11.0 et 26 rear The only bummer is that the stagger is so extreme front to back... It would be better if the fronts where a bit wider since the Z really likes a bit more tire up front. It works well on the Porsche due to the rear engine/ rear weight bias. |

hahaha i dunno, these are genuine porsche rims. I have a set of my stock 18"s for sale... could flog them off for a grand and for an extra grand end up with these sexy rims with better traction on the back!

If your buddy is too rich to be bothered with selling the wheels maybe buy them and sell them for a profit on a forum or your equivelant of our "Cragslist". Then put the money toward another wheel with proper offsets. More hassle for you though.

You can buy some nicer black aluminum factory Porsche lug nuts (closed or open end) from a 993 or older Porsche if you prefer. I run the BBS Porsche lug nuts which are open end black aluminum. No pics of my car until mid-September since it's off the road temporarily. I alternate between a few sets of wheels regularly but my most common setups are: BBS CH-R Porsche (street/daily setup) 19x11.0 et31 & 245/40/19 Hankook V12 front 19x12.0 et20 & 275/35/19 Hankook V12 rear Volk TE37 Porsche (track/drift setup) 19x9.5 et14 & 245/40/19 Advan Sport front 19x11.0 et19 & 275/35/19 Hankook V12 rear Volk TE37 Porsche (track/grip setup) 19x11.0 et19 & 295/30/19 Toyo 888 all around Volk TE37 Porsche (autocross setup) 19x11.0 et19 & 305/30/19 Hankook RS-3 all around Also have my eye on a set of Techart Formula wheels... think they'd look pretty good once I get a bbk.
