Spacers.

Good morning, friends,I have many members here put spacers on the wheels to make the car looks nicer, but will it cause the car to feels like less power & not so good handling.?P/s comments, thanks.

from everything i read, it improves the handling because it widens the stance. it has no effect on power.

:iagree:

I have read that there should be no problems with power......

Also one of my future mods on my to do list!

I have H&R spacers, 15mm front and 20mm rear. I must admit that I was surprised at the positive effect that the spacers had when installed. They made a noticable difference in body roll - not as much as a good set of sway bars may have, but some none the less. They also look great, especially with wider tires.

the reason why i put 15's on the rear and none on the front: lower wheel rate in the back and wider stance = better straightline stability. our roads are pretty straight. :)

Anyone got pics with the spacers on? I really can't tell a difference.

Here is mine with 20mm frt & rr, as you can notice the wheels are more flush

/\ I loooove the way it looks. So nice. Did you notice any difference in handling? I'm nervous to put them in on as I do drive aggressive sometimes (take turns and such). I don't want to break anything. :ugh:

The handling was a little better but not by much, and I have no vibration issues, and I have already done some aggressive Canyon runs on them with no issues. I do inspect that everything is nice, and tight before a spirited drive for safety sake.

Here's a pic of my 15/20mm setup with wider Hankooks. I drive mountain twisties all the time because I live so close to some great mountain roads in AZ. I have had no issues with damage and like the earlier poster, I do feel a slight positive difference in handling. For the money (approx. $260 for all four spacers) you can't beat it. Anyone on the fence - GO FOR IT!

Where did you guys order your spacers?

Mine are Ichiba's spacers Vr2, and I got mine From Lou at Amplified Motorsport, they are a vendor here.

Azroadster 08-23-2010 09:49 AM

I got my H&R's from Stillen.

mine with just the rear stock height. if i decide to do KW v3's later on i'll probably change camber angle and run 20mm front and rear. but for now no further plans. car runs great in stock form for me for our roads here.
