Pictures of my Hankooks
Now that several members have helped me with posting pictures, here are some shots of my new Hankooks. 275/35 in front and 305/30 in the back with 15mm spacers up front and 20mm in the rear. Enjoy.

hmm. Looks like your links aren't working.

I give up! Tried six times to post pictues and I can't make it happen. I guess I'm just a computer idiot!

need a shot from straight behind! Looks good though.
|
Here's the behind shot. It took me most of the day and a LOT of help from a bunch of people to figure out how to post a picture. The other picture shows how much the tire sticks out from the fender with the 20mm spacer. I may install the factory splash guards, but I really don't like the looks of them very much. Enjoy.

I love it!

Well Done!
|
Thank you very much! I took a spin on my favorite mountain twisties this morning and I must say that these tires are great! The car feels very neutral and has tons of grip. I am very happy!
|
looks great! Do you think the tires will clear the fenders with another 5mm of spacer on the back?
|
I think they would clear fine with 25mm spacers. I have not lowered my car, so I can't say if there would be any issues with a combination of 25mm spacers and lowering srings or coilovers. I am very pleased with the way the larger tires and spacers filled the openings. I was originally thinking of lowering her a little, but I scrape sometime at the stock height so I think I will leave things be for now. Of course, I know how I am and I am sure that I won't be able to help myself eventually.:icon17:

Nice, I think I'll switch to that tire setup when I burn through my current set of V12's.
|
Looks great. I think wider tires and some spacers are the best thing you can do to a stock car.
What is next on your list? |
I will be ordering the Stillen CBE in a few weeks when my work bonus comes in. I was thinking about the Fast Intentions system but I am afraid of damaging the low hanging mufflers. After that, some sways, a back-up camera for my in dash GPS, some new speakers..... It just goes on and on.

Is it just me or does putting wider tires on the stock sport 19's make them look smaller. I mean I wanna go wider. Probably with the same exact setup as the one posted by the op but still not sure.
|
I have heard that before. The stock tires are stretched pretty. The stretched look gives less side wall when viewing from the side so you see more rim with less tire.
I like the look of more sidewall. It makes the wheel and tire setup look bigger. Plus it looks really good when looking at how wide the tire is from the back. Not to mention the performance benefits. |

and the difference is no where near 2 inches... .............285 305 Sidewall 3.9" 3.6" Diameter 26.9" 26.2" |
oops your right I misread the tire calculator. It's -.65 inches smaller so a little over half an inch. So that's not too bad at all. Anything over 3/4" inch and it's not worth it IMHO. But I might get 305's for mine when I get new tires...
|
yep i figured you misread something. 2 inch sidewall difference would be the difference between my Z and Ford Explorer.
I just ordered new wheels 19x9.5,19x11 with some 305's in the back... would have went 325 in the back if Hankook made them that big |
the profile is the percentage of the width of the tire in mm.
stop using inches for sidewall height. keep it metric. :D |
