EDIT: Damn, that looks really good though... |
Keep in mind that Danny is running a +22 offset in the front with his 255. A 245 front on +12 is about the same. Also tire sidewalls can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, so a 245 from one tire manufacturer could be slightly thicker than another.
Rubbing is also the result of being to low- if it's rubbing on the top of the fender liner a thinner tire width isn't going to save you. OP I would suggest that if you don't want to run more aggressive camber settings than stock to just run a small spacer, but the fact is most people on here running wider wheel/tire specs or more aggressive sizing are probably rubbing one way or another. There's a difference between it being too severe to daily drive comfortably to just rubbing on your fender plastics under full compression/hard turning. |
If you're worried, go rent a heat gun and a fender roller and roll the front fenders. That'll easily give you at least 10mm of space.

Isn't the front fenders sort of rolled already? Hmm I need to look again. Maybe I can flare them out a bit. Do you have to relocate the fender lining tabs too?
|
The rears are already rolled. My friend used a fender finisher tool on my front fenders because we didn't have the tools to take off the bolt on the hub in the front to attach a fender roller tool to. Same result anyways. The fender was flattened out and fender liner trimmed. We relocated the bumper tab. I have pictures somewhere on here that shows what was done, but I can't seem to find them at the moment.
I think I might try an 18x10.5 +12 265/35 in the front. :icon14: |
