Tire Question

I'm under the impression that the 2010 370Z tires are filled Nitogen???

Jordo! 08-10-2010 05:35 PM

Not that I've heard... who told you that?

spearfish25 08-10-2010 06:24 PM

A dealer probably told you that so they can charge you $70 a tire to refill them later. Do yourself a favor, use air and buy a cheap air compressor.

rmorrow 08-10-2010 06:34 PM

No way...no nitrogen in these tires. I have pulled out the compressor three times already to add air to the tires, with only 1600 miles on the odometer.
Whoever told you this is badly mistaken.

Mine came with nitrogen, so did my 2010 Pathfinder.

The Z's do not come with Nitrogen in stalled. It's a Dealer installed thing. It's the new dealer installed rage going around the coutry. Trust me when I say, "You paid for it"............

Mine came with nitrogen, and of course the dealer did it.

It is $90 for all 4 tires if you want to change it at the dealer. However if your car came with nitrogen in the tires from the dealer they have to service the tires in case you lose pressure, which it will rarely happen with N2.

If not like you said, use regular air, is not going to damage the tire.

ARFCOM 08-10-2010 09:02 PM

Does the Nismo come with N2 in the tires?

ETA: Looks like it's the GT-R is what comes with N2 from the factory.

NeedforZ 08-10-2010 11:09 PM

Mine came with the Purigen98 nitrogen and these blue valve stem caps. Don't recall an extra charge but it was probably in there somewhere. Anyone else's car come with this?

Oh, and my tires all leaked around 5psi the first couple months just like having regular air. But regular air is 75% nitrogen to begin with.

MichaelM 08-11-2010 07:42 AM

Nitogen

My dealer did the same thing. They tried to charge me for the nitrogen filled tires and some kind of protection package. I told them they could forget about trying to start negotiating from that sticker they tacked on to the side of the window sticker.

But realistically I probably paid for it somewhere in the deal when it was all said and done.

I saw a new silver nismo at the dealership with N2 caps on the stems... hmm mine didnt have them.

oh this one had shipping spacers too! hehe

xiven 08-11-2010 08:50 AM

Mine came w/ N2 in the tires. I told them I wasn't paying for it though.
