Default Suggestions for new rear tires?

I probably will need to invest in new rear tires soon, and was wondering if anyone here has any suggestions, and what they paid for a set of similar OEM-size 275-19 tires and where they got them from. Thanks in advance!

OEM Bridgestone Potenza are not cheap around 300.00 each for the rear.

Right now i have around 4500 miles on them and i can't say for sure i will
stay with them are try another brand due to road noise to me these tires
are loud. i don't track so ride comfort and road noise are important to me

I would not mix & match tires.

If you are looking for a street driven tire I would get Hankook Ventus V12s. They are about half the price of the OEM Bridgestones and are a really good street summer tire.

No mixing and matching between front and rear? Don't the rears, depending on driving habits (read: bad habits) tend to wear out faster than the fronts?

I priced 19" rubber on day two. "The Tire Rack", which was always good for my old car and seems good now too. They would ship them to the tire guy who would not come down on his price, so he could mount, balance and install.
The next time I needed tires he would simply goto "Tire Rack" add $10 more per tire and put them on immediately. That seems fair to me. Good Luck.

Rears can wear out quicker than the fronts, yes. You should run a matching front/rear pair, though. You can upset the handling characteristics significantly by running two different types.

I wouldn't mix no, as they could react different when driving hard.

Imagine your rear tires stick better and your front looses traction because you reached the limits...

The can wear faster, just replace them with the same type as the fronts, then when all need to be replaced, you can switch to a different type

Edit:Mustang, type slower.. I sound like your echo... :P

If you buy from TireRack, go through the link on the forum in the wheel/tire section. This way the site gets a kick back for referring the sale.

That is certainly a possible explanation.

After a lot of research I put Sumitomo HTR Z III's on my 350Z and couldn't be happier. They actually felt better than the OEM's and were MUCH cheaper. Make sure you get the III's and not the II's, they totally changed the tire between iterations.

Edit: nevermind Sumi's don't make your exact size for the sport package tires.
