I ordered a set of these yesterday and they should be ready next week. I went with 9.5 x 19 ET41 and 10.5 x 19 ET 24. Anthracite centers.

how deep is the lip front and rear?
|
5 spokes are always the best
let's see it on the Z..ASAP |
I'll post the information on the lips after I get them. I was torn between the deep lip or stepped outer section. The stepped sections are a bit stronger if you live in pot hole country. I've had stepped outers in the past.

|

|
Thanks, now I can't leave my desk. I can't wait to see pics.
|
Good pick as for as the wheel but i think 20s would would be better IMO
|
Dave Schardt from ForgeLine called and told me to stop in Friday to pick up the wheels. I wish I had thought ahead and ordered a spare set of TPM's. The good news is that they will mount them to the wheels while I wait.
I'll post some pics Friday or Saturday. |
I predict WIN!!!
|
very nice, waiting on pics!

Put the wheels on yesterday. It was cloudy and the car was a bit on the dirty side but I think the wheels show well.
The car really needs to be dropped an inch. |

I'll try to get some photos on a sunny day. I've never used chrome lips before and it amazing how dark the lips look when the sky is gray.
Thanks for your thoughts on the wheels. |
Excellent!! Looks very good.
|
Hey the wheels look good! A drop would be nice since for sure, it will help shrink the car around them a little.
|
Nice looking wheels. A drop will finish the look off nicely!

The 9.5 x 19 ET41 is going to sit in like 20mm you know that right.
|
It does sit in a bit. However, I considered what would happen with a 1" drop and use at the track with 265's/285's F/R. with the wheel turned and hitting a bump. In that situation I feel I will have less of a chance of the tire hitting the outside of the fender. If it's not a problem I can always add a spacer and longer studs. I mention this as I once watched a large black snake peel off the right front of my 968 in turn 2 at Mid-Ohio. First session of a 3 day weekend and one tire was toast. The tire in this case was sitting flush with the fender at rest in a straight line.
Thanks for bringing that point up as others may wish to consider other options based on their use. I'll get a better photo of the front wheel in relation to the opening and post it. |
just my opinion:
looks like it needs wider rear tires, the stretched look doesnt work for me (are those the stock tires on wider wheels?). And the offsets look like they should've been more aggressive. The wheels are definately nice, though. Good color combination. |
You are correct. The tires need to be wider and will be on the next set. I'm thinking 265/285. And the offsets were conservative. I can move them out a bit with longer studs and spacers. If I had pushed it to the limit on offset it would have been more of an issue trying to go back in. I've been down that path before.
Thanks for your comments. |
