Thanks for the compliments! In time I may do the headlights and black out the fangs up front. As much as I would love to lower it, it would be a nightmare. I have to go through detours everyday to get to and from work. I have to drive very carefully now and couldn't imagine doing so with this car 1+ lower.

Good stuff Tony.. Did you happen to get a weight from the factory? or even better weigh them yourself. I was all ready to take a chance with Forgestar till i saw these.. Any idea if they are cast or forged..

For that price, they have to be cast. Doesn't mean they're not quality, though. Honestly considering some for our Z.

My guess is that they weigh just under 30 lb a piece in the rear, under 28 in the front. Cast 19's are heavy! No hiding from that.

Does that extra weight hurt acceleration in a 332+ BHP car? No not really, but it will affect handling since it's adding to the unsprung weight at each corner.

Yes well flowform cast is very light in comparison.. The forgestars are 21-22lbs in 19s for only 1400 a set. If these are flowformed also, this could be a good find.

Taken from modbargains website:

"Weight - Forgestar wheels are also much lighter than cast wheels. The 19x8.5 F05 & F14 wheels both weigh an amazingly light 22.5 lbs, where a cast wheel of this same size would weigh anywhere from 27-30 lbs. This is a saving of roughly 5-7 pounds per wheel makes a BIG difference in regards to handling and drivability. "

the 18s are 18.3lbs... And im considering just going 18s. Sorry im not trying to thread jack, just trying to figure out how the avants are made..
