And the lug nuts and wheel locks are... significantly cheaper than the Nissan oem wheel locks and lug nuts. What gives?

hey, i am actually working with some of the guys that work at qmr motorsports and we are close to a solution that would allow us to use black tops wheel locks, but that would only be for an aftermarket application, not the oem rays.

however, here are the exact specs of our lug nuts:
Nissan Infiniti OEM Style Flat Seat Lug Nuts [LNNIS] - $2.50 : Golden State Wheels and Accessories, OEM Chrome Wheels, Chrome Plating, Wheel Repair, Lug Nuts, Lug Bolts

comparing those specs to the specs of the lug nuts and locks you put up, it looks like they would not fit.

I called 3 dealers but none of them could provide me with the specs on the lug nuts and they all gave different part numbers for the OEM lug nuts on the rays >

is it the 40224-Z34002? i found it from this site. Not sure of its accuracy: 433 Road Wheel & Tire :: Axle & Suspension :: Genuine Nissan Parts :: 370Z Parts (Z34) 2009-2010 :: Nissan Parts, NISMO and Nissan Accessories - Courtesyparts.com do the 18" rims use the same lug nuts?

yzhang, don't worry so much. I know how you feel b/c i went through the same thing. just put on one set of locks, you already have an alarm. If they can get 1 set off they can get off 5 sets. Plus, you can't torque locks to the full torque specifications without risking stripping them. Your alarm with tilt sensor is really wants going to protect your wheels, not your locks. And worse comes to worse, it happens again, take another check from insurance, but another set of used, and keep the extra money. you can actually benefit financially from this happening to you. Honestly, if it happens again, maybe its time to move to a place that has a garage.

5 sets of locks is expensive, not safe, and won't really prevent anything except YOU from taking off your wheels when you want to for maintenance.

fair enough. I'm going to go with 16 lug nuts from the site you mentioned. and i'll be ordering a set of wheel locks from ebay or something since I have the exact part number from the Nissan bulletin. Do you know the Nissan part number for the OEM lug nuts for the rays?

I have 19" Rays on my 2010 ZR Touring Sport. I would like to replace the Nissan Center Caps with RAYS Center Caps, but I don't know which caps to order. I can't seem to find a reference anywhere. I have to believe the center cap size must be common to other RAYS than just the ones designed for Nissan.

Any thoughts?
