Difference between nissan accessories vs oem
 
what accounts for the price difference between these which are 540$ ea

versus the OEM wheels, which are priced at about 1k ea (according to a dealership quote)?

Perhaps your dealer is over charging you? You can get a set of (slightly used) sports pack rims for about $1000-1500. Sports package rims are made by RAY so they are superlight (much lighter than the chrome rims you mention here).
