Hankook Ventus V12 Evo

I probably should have bought these tires before arriving in Korea. They are almost $600 a piece out here for the 19" versions.

More than likely I go with these and just have them shipped. Doesn't look like I'll be auto-x anytime in the next two years anyway. I did like the stockers for auto-x since they were very predictable.

I've had these on my car for about 5K miles and like them for my Z, which is my daily driver. I chose these because of their wet weather performance (stock was a bit scary on the Gulf Coast during the massive downpours that we get). The tread-wear rating is about twice what the stockers were, so we'll see how much longer they last compared to the 16K I got off the original tires.

You are not going to like them for autox, they don't grip that great and don't have much feedback due to the soft sidewall. I think they are good street tires due to the low noise and relatively good ride, but I wouldn't go nuts over them.

I don't use nearly enough tires to ever establish a relationship with them. I really wanted to use them since they are a site supporter, but they were simply too much in this case.

I am really loving these tires. They are so much quieter and pleasant on daily basis. The lack of tramlining is great too. I was skeptical because of their price, but I will be a repeat buyer of these tires.

According to a recent issue of CR magazine, Hankooks, Falkens & Michelins are among the best tires on the market. I got my baby a pair of Falkens for the rear in late '09. So far, so good! But, then again, I don't put too much mileage on her, annually ('bout 4,000 miles, on average).

Tire Rack gives a warning indicating that the Hankooks have a higher load rating than the OEM tire and might ride a little harsher. Has anyone noticed this? Thanks.

Yeah, seriously. They ride way better than stock. I feel like I can feel less of the tires and more of the road, if that makes any sense. It's definitely "less harsh" compared to stock.

I dont have it on the Z, but I can tell you they ride just as well on my Prius compare to the stock low resistance tires. It's a good street tire, not sure if I love them on the track/autox

I really get sick of answers like this. I read all the posts in this thread and only a couple talk about the ride of the Hankooks at all. The fact that Tire Rack gives this warning before you order the tires is something to look at before spending $800. If you have nothing constructive to say Tin keep it to yourself.

I started this thread to help other people out, how much more helpful and constructive can I be? And I get sick of people popping to the end of a thread and asking a question that has already been answered.
