Unhappy Is this tire/wheel size possible??

I apologize for my first newb post in advance, I have tried to read through some of the posts here concerning tire/wheel sizes, and I THOUGHT I had a good idea of what I could do. I am lucky enough to be able to have (if they will agree!) Asanti custom building my wheels for me, but the specs I asked for basically were rejected by by Asanti as impossible to fit, the tires also... so CLEARLY I must be missing somthing and I need a little help and advice from the knowledgeable folks here to continue.

I am driving a 2010 40th anniversary 370Z, and I have several custom mods (engine, audio etc.) that I am making, so obviously I want wheels also. After some reading I felt that a powerful aggressive look is what I wanted, I am willing to sacrifice a few things to get that but first I need to know IF its possible and streetable (its not going to be tracked/raced), and secondly if it IS possible WHAT will it take (inner fender-well adjustment, etc) to make it safe and solid for daily (aggressive) driving.

Here is what I proposed to Asanti:

Front: 20 x 9.5
Rear: 20 x 10.5

Front: Pirelli PZero Nero 275/30/20
Rear: Pirelli PZero Nero 305/30/20

The owner of Asanti supposedly corresponded to my dealer (Superbuy tires in Bellflower CA) and told him that he was intimate with my car and felt that there is NO way those wheels would work with my setup and that my tires are also too big and won't work. I have read here that folks have done what I have done size-wise, and even more aggressive so what am I missing?

Understand that Asanti basically said "no" to $4400.00 dollars, so I think MAYBE they are on to something to reject my money based on fitment.

I would love to hear any and all opinions from knowledgeable nutZ here

Thanks!
Aubrey
(feel free to chime in that my setup is NOT aggressive enough bullitt.. lol

Tires are fine, the only question I would ask is what offset are you going for with the wheels? That may be why they rejected them, but that size wheel/tire combo is perfect and just depends on the offset.

Edit: You added the offsets, and those look fine, you could even go a little more (22 fronts and 12 rear).

So dreamer, you can't see any decent reason they (Asanti) won't build these for me? I just can't get past the idea they would give up a good sale I guess.. they basically told me the biggest that would fit was 20 x 9 in the front, and 20 x 10 in the rear. Its why I am here because I feel like I WANT those wheels really badly, but only if I AM CONVINCED this will work, and therefore maybe convince them to do it for me.

Well, some companies will only build to certain specs (easier for them).
Similar to how certain shoes only come in full sizes and now full size plus half sizes.

I see yea, well I will have to see what others think too, hopefully someone who is actually running what I am running or close to it or even MORE aggressive will chime in and let me know an opinion too.

Thanks,
Aubrey

ok tire sizes are fine... offsets can be much MORE aggressive in the rear! I am running 305's and on 20 x 11 +5 so comparing our wheel sizes and offsets yours are pretty weak sauce... no offense. Check out the combined threads asking about offsets and your questions have been answered many times.

You can make almost any wheel fit. It just comes down to the tire size you want to run.

just alittle FYI~
1.some company pancake parts "wheels center" can not make offset that low.
2.some company lip inner and outer can not make 20x9.5-20x11
3.casue most of these forged wheels company get all the parts from so many driffrent place to put them together.and some time.
4.once you really see behide of some of the way wheels are made you may think agian.

here is
20x9.5+20x10.5 with 275-30-20 front+285-30-20 rear and yes i can run 305-25-20 or 305-30-20 in the rear!
i got to say i'm was the first to run 305's in the rear to show this size more them a year ago.
pm me if anything!

Thanks to everyone who replied, I do appreciate it. I am feeling pretty certain that there is some OTHER motivation behind Asanti not wanting to build me these wheels because so many of you have done similar and more aggressive things. Like VIP and dreamer said there are probably other concerns that aren't related to the fitment that are stopping Asanti, so if they don't want me paying for their wheels, I won't.

I am going to continue to search other really nice rims (venuci, etc) and see if I can find a wheel that either fits already or can be made to my specifications. As several of you have said it seems very likely that I can do even more than I had originally hoped to, which is great.

One last question, with all of the really cool setups here with the widths and offsets etc, have any of you needed to make any modifications at all to achieve them? Adjusting the inner fender well, rolling the fender, etc, anything like that? Or is everyone able to do this without any mods, just bolt on the wheels/spacers and go?

Also remember that I need this car for my DAILY DRIVER, it won't be raced, tracked, or anything like that BUT it will be driven aggressively every single day. I don't know for sure that it matters but I have been asked that a couple times as if people are afraid something could fail due to stress in a year or two. Just wondering.

Thanks again everyone
Aubrey

What's your budget I may know of a few manufacturers that could help you out. Asanti's are like $1200+ per wheel. If that's your budget check out companies like Strasse forged, I forged, HRE and so many more... But if your looking for sub $1k per wheel set then Venaci wheels are where it's at!

I have looked at HRE several times, but I have to admit some of the best looking wheels I have seen are the venaci ones. I am very fortunate, my budget wasn't a problem at all with the Asanti prices, so any others should be no problem. Seeing photos helps a great deal of course, even considering the fact that multiple random factors change the image for better or worse, and again bullitt your car and "rick?" (VIP) look amazing. I hope to use a few of the things you have done to your cars to help make mine look half as good When it gets back from California (it should be between 500-550 HP by then) I am looking forward to making the "visual" changes, and then following that the audio customizations. Someday (and with others' help) I hope to have "my" dream 370z.

Thanks for the wheels bullitt, I will be looking at each that you mentioned.

Aubrey
