Default TPMS Question for when my wheels get powdercoated

I am going to get my wheels powdercoated in a week and I was curious about the TPMS. If I unplug the battery before the wheels are taken off the car and the tires stripped off and plug it back in when the wheels are back on and all done, would I still have to get the TPMS reset at the dealer. Or would the fact that the car wouldn't be able to tell that the sensors are off the car make it all ok, and no light on the dash illuminated. Guess I'm just wondering what happened to the TPMS system when those on here that have their wheels powdercoated got them done. Any insight would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance.
