There was actually a recent article in either Road and Track or Car and Driver where they tested bigger wheels (I'm assuming the results would be similar for tires) and found that the bigger the wheels, the slower the acceleration due to the extra weight.

That is true for straight line acceleration, which is why drag cars put tiny wheels on the front. However for cornering wider is better (but not bigger diameter), assuming you don't exceed the tire size recommended for the rim.

Alright, I just ordered my tires... I've been doing research and I went with Nitto's Invo's 255/35/19 front and 285/35/19. I saw the 305 and was blown away how aggressive it was. I realize my 370z deserves the best, but damn... That was a little too extreme!

Thanks for all the great info guys... I will post pics this Friday when I get them installed...
