I could use some help! I am looking at a set of 20" Volk G2s... F20x10 and R20x11. What would be the ideal offsets for these? What size tires? Options

I could use some help!

I am looking at a set of 20" Volk G2s... F20x10 and R20x11. What would be the ideal offsets for these? What size tires?

Options on the 20x10 are 40mm, 35mm, 30mm, 20mm

Options on the 20x11 are only 15mm

The fronts with a +20mm will work, but the +30 would be easier. THe rears are perfect with the +15.

+30 gives you a little more room for tires. Say for instance you went +20 it would be aggressive and on a stock cambered car you could only fit a 255 or smaller up front with out rubbing*. (*depending on your ride height) with a +30 you could easily fit a 265 tire

it really comes down to what you want and if you plan on running coilovers/springs or even plan on getting camber arms... Most people would say not to worry about those things and just get the safe fitment of +30. I look at it this way: If you are going to get coilovers and lower your car why not get the set that looks best. that way you dont have any regrets of not getting the most concave out of your volks...

The choice is yours if your staying close to stock I would recommend +30 but if your starting your mods and plan on working on the suspension then go +20

Bullitt or Chris, I need your advice on a set of advans I'm buying. Advan RS with the GTR face, the fronts are 19x9.0, offset +29 or +22? Rears: 19x10.0, offset +25 or +15?

I would definitely do the +22 front and +15 years. This setup you are looking at has the fronts 2mm farther "out" than mine in the front.....and 4mm farther "in" on the rear.

I'm actually looking to go wider or spacers.

I'm not sure if you car is lowered or is going to be lowered? I assume so?

You might end up wanting spacers someday with the setup you are looking at. But you'll definitely want the ones with the lower offset.

Lowering on Swifts..1.5 front 1.0 rear. Factory Camber.

Judging from what I have read this is to aggressive? What do you guys think and if it can be done what would be the right tire size. I am thinking it would need a stretch.

I think the fronts would clear with no stretch. Even a stock 245/40 would work...stretched a little but its what comes on the nismo. I think a 265/35 would also clear fine. The rear is a bit aggressive and is about 2.5mm farther out than nismo wheels with 20mm spacers. But a stock nismo 285/35 might worth fine back there if you have maybe -2 camber or more. This is all just a guess based on what I have seen so far in pics.....no experience to back this up.

Thanks for the heads up. I looked at the nismos with 20mm spacer and they do look a bit funny but then again the car was not lowered. I found this thread in the link below and if I am doing this right the wheels I am asking about should be 13mm inward compared to the the ones in the link correct? If that is the case I would think that I would have no issues with a drop on the swifts since I would have 13mm to play with depending on the sidewall size I run. The rear as of right now would be lets say 285/35/19 and the front would be 245/40/19 ideally.

First of all that is medium to mild for the rear... We have guys running 11+0 and 12+0 for the rear. Now the front is a different story... 9.5 +15 is where you need to be at anything lower and you will need camber arms. I have done 9.5 +15 and scraped on really hard dips on a 255. I am currently on 10 +15 on 255 and have no problems but I also have camber arms.

Keeping stock camber is not going to happen with most setups. I know a lot of people want stock camber but honestly... Why? Adding camber front and rear is going to increase your turn in response... so all in all stick with a 9.5 +15 or 10 +22 in the front and you should be good

Thanks for the help. I don’t mind some camber...just don’t want my car looking ridiculous. I know the front will fit with a 245/30/19 for sure. I want to go to 245/40/19 just so that it is sized properly to the rears which I want to be a 285/35/19. The rears were the ones that I was worried about but from what you have said it seems that it should not be an issue as long as I am not super low or anything.

What about a 9" front on 255/35 or 245/40? If I add spacers to get to the equivalent of a 9.5" +15 with either of these tires will I have issues? My tires would not be as stretched because my front rims are 0.5" narrower.

When you scrape on big bumps do you mean just the plastic liner or the fender itself?
