Striderx88: I think it will, mainly due to the offsets. But remember, as I've said before, I am not an expert. I hope someone else chimes in for you. |

Need help on offset; want to be sure this will look right
Here's my current setup: 18 X 8 front/18 X 9 rear; 225/50 front and 275/40 rear.
I'm looking at getting the following setup: 18 X 8.5 front with +30 offset and 18 X 9.5 with +25 offset. I don't know enough about offsets to say what will or won't work so I need help! I mostly worried about the rear offset, will it fill the rear wheel-well. Also, will I need a 245/45 tire for the front? Thanks! |

EVERYONE: I still see thread after thread popping up one-at-a-time in the Wheels section, but all are in one way or another about, "Will it fit?" Let's spread the word and get more people who really know something (unlike me) contributing answers to posters' questions here. Last edited by jeffreyfranz; 04-23-2010 at 07:29 AM. looks good on offsets but the rear needs meatier tires. I say go 295 on 11" wide tire or more. We got tons of room back there!

18 X 9 +30mm and 18 X 10 +15mm. I'm going with 245/45 upfront and for now, a 275/40 rear. On a 10-inch wheel, what's the widest tire you would recommend? |

No problem fellas! I am currently at the point of pushing the envelope with what our cars can take. Now I have posted in many threads what I believe to be a good standard if you want an aggressive fitment. These fitments will only require some slight camber increase in the rear. This has it's + and -. By adding camber you will allow the car to corner better than stock. however you increase tire wear and increase rear end instability. But there is a fix called adjusting your toe. By adjusting the toe inward inthe rear (kinda like pointing your toes together) slightly you will regain tire life and keep rear end stability with the added benefits of the added camber. Now each persons setup and likes and dislikes will be different. I will be more than happy to help with suspension questions as well.

There is sooo much more that goes into picking a tire for me but that's because I know what to look for like tirewall stiffness and multiple compound tread. Actual spec'd size of tire and more... So all in all you are fine with your choice but if you find yourself digging for that last .1 around the track every bit helps.

That is really going to depend on sooo many different variables! That's like saying which gun is the best for hunting... The only good answer is it depends.
