in what aspect? Initially I was searching for 18x10 +30 / 18x11 +18 I believe these are 20x9.5+45/20x10.5+25 with 275F/295R just seemed like a fairly similar set up to what I desired aside from being 20's which I am a little unsure about but, I am no tire expert so maybe I am even looking for a bad set up to begin with, open to critiques

Your initial search for 18" sizes is almost identical to the popular 19x9.5 +22 and 19x10.5 +12 setups that people like to run. The OEM GTR sizes are not similar to your initial search.

Hey guys, had a question about the Enkei RS05RR. Looks like quite a few people have fit these wheels, but was wondering if anyone knows if the 18x10.5 ET+35 clears the front calipers without issues (sport package akebonos)? I know the NT03+M does with an ET+30, but wasn't sure if the shape of the RS05RR would prevent that fitment. I already have extended studs, so using a 5mm spacer isn't out of the question, but wanted to see if anyone suspects I would have caliper clearance issues. Want to run the 18x10.5 +35 square with 285/35r18 for track days primarily. I'm on stock suspension currently (planning and doing FA500 true type +SPL arms and whatnot eventually).
I am considering sticking with the NT03+M since a lot of track guys are running it and I think both wheels look good, but the RS05RR did catch my eye. Appreciate the responses. |

There’s no reason to go with that conservative a size.
You want 18x10.5 or 11, +15 all around. This is the range track folks use here, with anywhere from a 275 to a 315 +35 is worse than stock

I realize that’s suboptimal in a certain sense, but the ability to rotate the wheels is important to me. My real concern was the wheel shape of the RS05RR and if it would have any fitment issues. I would guess not, or to run a 5mm spacer in front along with 20mm in the rear (based off the offset of +35 that I was able to find in stock). |

I have both the wheels you are considering. The RRs in 18x11 +15 and the NT03s in 18x10.5 +30. I run a 15mm spacer in the rear. Regardless both sets fit with sport brakes w/o spacers.

I'm going to make two statements:
1. I used the search function. Although there were some SIMILAR specs, it wasn't exact. 2. I really tried researching on multiple forums and talking to multiple vendors because I wanted to figure this out on my own, but I just want to make sure before pulling the trigger. Additional Info: I have a 2015 Nismo. I am installing Swift Spec R lowering springs. I plan on using OEM Nismo tires, but I can change this if recommended. Will this fit? I'm going for a flush look: F 19x9.5 +22 R 19x11 +19 I'm mainly concerned about the rear specs. 10.5 isn't an option and the vendor can't do anything "less" than +19. These are custom wheels. I REALLY appreciate the feedback in advance. |

But: - swift springs only - wheel selection that appears to have very limited sizing Why don’t you tell us what wheel you’re looking at? I assume I will then tell you to pick a different wheel, but hey, let’s find out If you want to be flush, you need: - coilovers - SPL stuff - rolled fenders - better wheels - a good alignment shop If you haven’t already, read THIS: Wheel Fitment 101: START HERE Having said all that, you sizes will work, they’ll fit, but it’s a fairly standard, conservative fit. If all you want is that low effort fitment, go for it But if you’re paying for “custom” spec wheels, it seems like you’re lighting mo day on fire. It’s like paying for a tailor to do a special order suit, but in the wrong size

Anyways, I agree with most of what you said and I should probably rephrase what I want. I said flush, but really all I want is to lower the car by about 1 inch and install wheels/tires that are aligned with the fender; not too far in, not too far out. I'm not expecting (nor do I want) my wheel wells to be nonexistent, I just want them to be reduced; hence the lowering springs. I suppose you're right in that I'm not going all out with the coil over setup and all the associated components with that, however, I'm just trying to make a tasteful mod w/o going overboard within personal reason. Of course, tasteful mods are subjective. You made a good point in the custom factor. I was able to talk to the engineer, and what I was told was the way the wheel is made the lowest offset they can shave the mounting pad to is +19mm. I can't argue with that; hence my post on this forum. I have no problem sharing the wheel - Momo Anzios. They look very different and I haven't really seen many wheels like this, especially on Zs. I wouldn't say they are crazy expensive, if anything, they are less than some of the very common wheels I've been seeing on Zs (probably for good reason). Just looking for confirmation, that is all. Thanks, again! |
