I've read so much my eyes are crossed... I've found several posts that kinda fit my car/application but not exact, so I'm just gonna ask....

I have new 18x10.5 +15 rear and 18x9.5 +22 front wheels (uninstalled). I need tires for them.

Im lowered on Swift R, have spl rear camber arms/toe bolts, front is stock camber arms. I'm looking to put either 255/45 285/40 f/r or 265/40 295/40 f/r if possible. I dont care to get the car realigned, but am worried about front rubbing issues and for now, not having to install front adjustable camber arms.

What do you think? Will it rub under spirited driving / autocross conditions?

Other options are welcome, but I'd like to keep the stock tire ratio close. Thank you.

Dunno. What size wheels are you running now?
I dont know what your fitment is currently like or what your ride height currently is.
I would guess no - as most springs don't take you anywhere near low enough to rub but again, that is a guess.

Sorry, shoulda said that.... im on base 18" rims. 225/50f 245/45r with 20mm/25mm spacers f/r. I'll be removing the spacers totally, but everything is aligned currently with -1.8 f camber and -2.1 r camber at the moment.

Im basically worried about the front rub under hard braking or big bumps during spirited driving (autocross).

Thanks

Hey guys, need help. Currently running 275/35 on stock Ray's. But since the wheels are staggered, people are making it sound like it's a problem to run square on staggered rims. What if I do 265/35 front and 275/35 rear? What's a good combo? I want to keep my front 275s since they are brand new lol

They’ll filt on the 9” front & you’ll have a slight rake...but they’ll bulge some vs the rears

I thought it would do that too. 265 up front would bulge too?

It’s your Z, they should fit...but unsure what they’ll look like.

Why a 325 in the rear?
305/30 within spec and will fit more easily

You can check this your self:
https://www.toyotires.com/tire/patte...s-proxes-r888r

the 275/35 is square on a 9.5 inch rim. Slight stretch on a 10
the 305/30 is square on an 11 inch rim
the 325/30 is square on an 11.5 inch rim. Slight bulge on an a11

The 305 will fit with less camber required

325’s in the PSS’s are bulged a bit on the 11’s & a 295/30 would be slightly bulged on the 10 up front.
I have both tire sizes here & diameter differential mounted is only 0.4” (26.15/26.55)
My 325’s are measured mounted on a 12” wide wheel though, with an ever so slight stretch
275/325 stagger needs a 2” wheel width stagger to look evenly...Tire mfg will make a difference as well
Rusty, Hotrodz and sx moneypit like this.
