You seem to really know your stuff so what pilot 4s tire size do you recommend for a street driven car stock suspension stock sport rims.

I know enough to be dangerous lol. I would suggest staying with oem sizing and getting Swift springs for a little drop and better ride. I would also recommend 20mm spacer to make the wheels and tires flush and not be so sunken.

Lol I feel that. I'll stay with OEM size and get some springs and spacers. Then I'll eventually get a proper suspension setup and some new rims for the next set of tires. Would 20mm spacers be for all around front and rear?

Hey guys, thanks for all the recommendations!

Just to be clear this is more of a daily street car with the occasional track day. I got the wheels as an open box deal hence scooping them up first before figuring out the exact tires etc and yeah, already got all the necessary suspension upgrades. Also have 20mm spacers and even a set of Moonbeam fender flares to got with it all!

Currently working on installing everything but just wanted to see what people thought of the tire sizes.

Sounds like 265/40 and 295/35 is the way to go for street, would love to go wider with the 275/35 and 315/30 Toyos or BFGs but it's not a track specific car and I don't want to get screwed if I get caught in the rain..

um, those sizes aren't gonna work for overfenders man

You didn't list offsets (...?) but the MOST AGGRESSIVE spec for GTC01RR is 18x10 +22 and 18x11 +16

those aren't even the limit of STOCK fenders, and then you're gonna be slapping on widebody?

It's gonna be sunken as hell

Yes, the offsets are the most aggressive ones you mentioned and they're both rear face. I also have AP racing calipers front and rear so 20mm spacers were needed for the front to clear them. The moonbeam fenders really aren't so widebody, they're actually pretty shallow for flares. Already did the test fit and they look pretty good!

OZ - Just let him do his thing. Carbon Signal recommended a 20x10 -15 and a 20x11 -20 but hey, what do they know... He seems to be setting himself up for success.

I live in NYC/NJ area where we have this thing called winter that produces these things called pot holes. Some of which are massive and on the off chance I hit one, I don't want the tire to smash into the fender. So flushness isn't the priority. The way it sat when I tested it was just on the inside of the flare which is exactly what I wanted. All I came here for was to ask about best tire choices..

it's your money, do whatever you want

if functionality is the issue, get a cup kit or air instead of cutting/painting/riveting on fender flares that don't fit your wheels

but again its your money, set it on fire, put it in a hole in your back yard, spend it on flares, be happy

Ahhh yes, the majestic, elusive pothole that only areas that snow seem to have...

Anyway to cut the sarcasm short, "flushness" won't result in your wheel/tire slamming into your fender, bad fitment and suspension setup will. My setup is flush, with a decent tire, and I have no rubbing/etc. but no clue what I'm talking about either so enough about me.

To answer your Q: if you plan on going with the 18x10/11 GTC combo I would have originally suggested a 275/40 and 305/35 combo... however, since you don't want to listen to advice and want to run oversized flares on an undersized offset (including the spacers), I'd recommend you get the largest, widest tire you can fit on a 10"/11" wheel. So, something along the lines of a 305/35 in front and a 335/30 in the rear.

Plenty of folks are running as aggressive or more aggressive wheels without needing fender flares

hell, like Hotrod said, he's running a goddamn 315 in FRONT and he TRACKS the car without issues
