What would be the best tire size combo for these specs?
Base Z 19x9.5 +22 (or +15) 19x11 +15 Still deciding what I want for up front, but what which offset between the 2 (+22 or +15) will give me a more flush look up front? I am currently on stock height, but I plan on lowering down a little bit to clear the wheel gap after the 19s go on. Last edited by lowkey E; 01-24-2018 at 09:41 AM. |

The "Will it fit?" thread
Short answer:
Option 1: 245/40 & 285/35 slight stretch Option 2: 265/35 & 305/30 no stretch Option 3: 275/35 & 325/30 meaty All depends on your use case scenario. And for the offsets +22 & +15 works for flushyness just have to take into account akebono clearance if need be.

Hai Gais
Just a quick question more than anything. Looking to run 18 x 10.5 +15 squared. Tires sizes is my only concern. tires im looking at are 275/40/18 should i stagger that sidewall like i see most others do make it 40 front and 35 rear or would 40 all 4 corners be fine ? Lowered on swifts FYI Thanks! <3 |

thought there was another reason besides the tires over all size of the tire. 275/40/18 will work for all four corners no prob |

wheel question: If I decide to purchase a set of forgestar f14 wheels (the polished copper version is calling my name!!) do I need to get longer wheel studs as well, or will the new wheels and lugs be safe on the OEM studs? My Z is a new 2018. I have read that some aftermarket wheels do not allow a safe amount of grab for the lug nuts on the OEM studs and just want to know all that will be needed to use a set of F14's.

Yes...... knew I would need new lug nuts as well, but was just concerned about length of factory stud being sufficiently long enough. I take it you have had no problems using the F14's on the stock studs and had plenty of stud length for the new lug nuts?

Hey guys,
I'm looking to grab bigger rear tires on the 2015 stock 18's oem tires. . Here is the plan: Move stock rears to the front and buy x2 g-Force COMP-2 A/S 275/40/18's for the rear (need all season to finish up the last couple months left of winter here). The only other options for that tire is 255/45/18. They seem to get great reviews even in light snow. My questions: Will I get better grip with the wider rear tires? Especially on cold streets. Will the driving/handling be drastically affected? Will this look good on stock suspension (fitment/fender gap/bubble)? When I get swift spec R springs, will these tires still fit all the way around? Can I still add spacers with that set up (including springs) without rubbing? Also, if you have better options as well as spacer specs, feel free to chime in. Thanks guys. P.S. I think I posted this in the wrong place before, so my apologies for the double post. |

Ride quality should be better (pending tires) Traction will be similar-I ran the 225/50,255/45 combo for the function (cold & ugly winter weather)...but dang them tires are skinny. Ride quality increased for me with fatter meats-but there’s a trade off on fuel consumption and cost....but you’re not getting close to that ballgame w/245/275’s. Try to keep same tread compound for best traction & handling.

Do you know if you can drop it 1.2" using that same setup without having rubbing issues? Also, with that drop and wheel/tire combination do you have any spacer experience/advice? I actually like the stock 18's, I just want to close the fender gap. |

This is an old picture with 20mm front & 5mm rear spacers...you may want to lower it before you purchase spacers/so you’ll be more accurate when measuring for them. Unsure if you’re purchasing all required parts to keep your alignment in check. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
