the answer is always roll + camber

Does anyone run 18" Step Lip wheels, such as WORK Meister S1-3P, on their car equipped with Akebono's?

Trying to gauge and see if the Ake's will fit under an 18" step wheel. They fit under my WORK Emotion CR Kai (just barely) and Kiwami just fine. I've seen someone run SSR SP1's with a step lip and Akebono's. But not WORK's.

Any help or input is much appreciated!

OK now I have my CR2P wheels and it's time for tires.

They are 20X9.5+15 front and 20X11+5 rear. What would the best tire size for them. I know it depends on the height and camber as am planning to lower it 1 inch and maintain stock camber numbers is it possible to do it?

I have the same wheels but with less aggressive offsets (+20/+15). My tires are 265/35 and 305/30 with no camber adjustment in the front and 5mm spacers plus camber adjustment in the rear with SPL camber links (+10 net rear offset). I tried to use 5mm spacers in front and 10mm in the rear for a +15 and +5 net offset, respectively, but the tires rubbed during hard braking and full suspension compression. My rear camber specs are as close to OEM as possible.

Sorry for rambling, but to answer your question, I would go with 265/35 front and 305/30 rear. A little bit of camber won't hurt. 255/35 and 295/30 will be more conservative, but will work better if you're set on retaining OEM camber specs.

Cus I think I have aggressive offsets I will go with 245/35 front and 285/30 rear that will be stretched and maybe will avoid more negative camber

Hey all, I'm new to the club and a new 370Z owner!! 2012 base model.. I was trying to sell my wheels that I had that were for my previous car but that didn't happen.. so deciding to keep them and wanted to ask here for some help on tire sizes!! I know I will have to run negative camber and I will be planning to get coilovers and front and rear camber mods...

the wheel sizes are:

F: 18x10 +11
R: 18x11 -1

I'm trying to run the widest tire I can without to much stretch.. I saw one of the members car, i think his name is ccastro, not sure but if I remember right he's running 18x9.5 +12 and 18x10.5 +0 245/45 and 275/40 and loved how his car looked!! would this be the same tire sizes I would run or can I go wider? sorry for all the newb questions but still learning a lot especially when it comes to all these numbers lol!! any advice, info and help would be much appreciated!!!

thanks!!!

I'm getting new rims soon and the specs for the wheels are
19x 9.5 +22 & 19 x 10 +15.

I have 20mm/25mm spacers lowered on swifts and was wondering if there will be any fitment issues.

Thank you

so you have effective 19x9.5 +2, and 10, -2?

Very doable with camber and stretch

Hey everyone. I bumped an old thread below, but figured I'd try my luck here hoping to get a quicker response since I have to make a move today. My situation is below, somewhat edited from the other post...

************************************************** ***********
What's up team 370Z?

Here's my situation: I have a set of 19x11 +22 rims for the rear that my stock 275 tires won't fit. The rim is too wide.

Question #1: What size tires would you all recommend for me on the rear for this rim? I may want to lower in the future an inch or two, but won't mind staying stock height if I have to.

Edit: the center cap on the rim gets pushed out by the center nut, so I may have to run a small spacer as well if I can't figure something out otherwise.

Question #2: My current front tires fit well, but I don't want to throw away my current rear tires when they are replaced with question #1. Will the stock 275 tires fit on the front of the car? Wheel size is 19x9.5 +15.

I'd like to stay away from extreme camber and such if possible. Its my DD, so I don't want any rubbing. I'm assuming by Angelo's post above, I should be fine with 295's or 305's, but just wanted to be sure before I buy another pair of tires that I can't use.

My car has the sport brakes as well. Please let me know if you need more information to answer my questions.

Thanks in advance...

I have a huge prob, made a first timer mistake, wish I knew more, I would have gotten wider rims but I'm stuck with 245/35/20 and 275/30/20, the front is not bad but the rear is horrible, stern st2 are the rims and their site said 13+ fronts and 15+ rear, the tire n rim guys told me know need 45mm spacers for the rears to make it flush but ppl are saying that's too much and probably not safe so I want 25mm h&r spacers, will any set of 25mm h&r spacers fit? Or do I need to buy extra stuff??? Another shop told me that spacers come in a complete set with everything you need in it. The tire n rim guys said I need 12x1.25 stud, 66.1 hub bore and hub centric. What do I do and need I'm confused.

Oh great. Went on a site that is a direct distributor for h&r spacers in my area and now I see DR series/DRS series/DRA series, so which one do I need and will work for our Z??? Ok there is DRM Series too

sell your wheels
put on the stock ones
read through the wheel fitment threads
pick the setup you want to copy
save up till you can afford it
buy that

Bump. Anyone??? Seems like a simple question, but according to my research, my current tire should've fit too. If I step up to a 285, would 10mm be enough? If I go bigger to a 295 or 305, will I experience rubbing on the rear?
