Will high sidewall fit in rear?
Hi all, I have a 2011 Nismo (weekend warrior and track days) and would like to put on 285/40 on back and 245/35 on front in order to throw a little bit more car weight onto the front wheels. The front is not a concern but the back is questionable. Does anyone know if the extra 14mm around will cause issues with the wheel well? And please let me know if your information is based on experience...I have researched this to death and am still scared I will end up with an $800 "tarp weight" (giant paper weight).
Thanks for all you comments. /Z/ |

I have: 2010 Nismo stock height, stock suspension
I have a set of HR Pro 5 racing rims that I would like to put Drag radials on. Spare rim brand: HR size 19/10 +44 offset How wide and tall of a tire can I safely get on there? I have to drive 50 minute to and then 50 minutes from the track with them on. Thanks in advance YzGyz |

I was just wondering if anyone tried 40s. If not, I will consider going wider on front to promote more traction up front while retaining same on back...bit that is not my first choice. /Z/ |

The 19" choice is very slim (1) 27.90" tall This will reduce your hole-shot,unless you have lower gears. Should clear fine & tuck well underneath fender/ & i'm guessing you have already installed rear camber arms;to stand them upright? Not sure how big your brakes are; but better selection in 18" & down.

Or 275/35 up front & 295/35's rear...(26.6 & 27.1) a slight bit of rake.
I may have looked at it wrong/but thought i seen the 245/35's coming in at 25.8"

I didn't see that he wanted 245/35-19 on the front. Missed it. So the 245/35-19 PSS is 25.5" Yea, that will most likely play hell with the computer with what the OP wants to run on the rear. The 275/35-19 might be a better fit on the stock rim for the front.

These cars negative camber when you launch-which may lead to a slight + initial camber setting,to get maximum rubber surface touching. NT05R 305/35 should fit as well. 27.44" tall

I'm not sure what OEM camber is. Anyhoo, if it wasn't, what I want it to set it to 0 correct? Will it affect handling much or at all. I mean, that's the "golden egg" of a Nismo. It's not the speed, the looks, it's the balance of handling.

Factory specs are -2.16* min & -1.17* max -1.67* nominal. My factory eccentric bolts are adjusted all the way to positive & it peaks at -1.7*,,, you can always set it back after you drag the car/ these cars are not set up for dragging & factory arms will not let you get to (0) Also remember; when you adjust your camber more +(outwards) it will give you more +(inward) toe.
