The "Will it fit?" thread

I put 265/35's 19's on the front. 275's would have been no problem dang it.

I have no idea why they didn't put 265/25r19's on the front of a Nismo stock. The car has a ton more grip in the front with them.

I see this is your last comment Mr Spooler; maybe everyone doesn't have the same taste as you....I thought this site was intended to help one another & not be a hater- but maybe I'm either wrong or you are way more smarter than the rest of us.

Im currently running OEM Size Potenza in Front with 20mm Spacer and Michelin AS/3 Rear OEM Size with 20mm Spacer. (Stock Height; Not Lowering)

Will I be able to run 275/35/19 Front and 305/35/19 Rear with NO spacers and Flush Fitment? I hear the front tires rubbing with the spacers currently when the steering wheel is at full lock. Will the 275 up front Rub as well?

And im thinking S04 Pole Position All Around or RE-11 (Car is DD).

Thanks

J

Are the wheels flush with the fender with that setup? (as they are with 20/20 spacers on stock wheels/tires). And approximately (miles wise) do those tires last you? Just in your situation, not taking into account anything else., but how long do a set last for you?

Thanks for the info !

my setup does not sit flush with the fenders. to do that with stock wheels and any tires you need spacers. I however do not run spacers nor do I want to.

mileage on the tires depends on which tires you have of course. the RE-11's for example are still on my car and have a decent bit of meat left. my fronts could last forever as I've found now that I am 3 sets in. the rears are what go for me. I drive a lot and I drive hard. some drag racing and the dragon wear on the tires a bit. plus oem camber does take a bite out of the insides.

my PSS's lasted me 15k on the rears.
RE-11's have about the same 15K on them but still have life. i'll run these until may and swap fresh rubber in for zdayz.

odd that a the worse lifespan rated tire has lasted longer. I do think that these RE-11's are in a wider size than the PSS's I ran may have something to add to that equation.

Hey guys, I am looking at picking up a set of 18s to use as track wheels and want to be sure I won't have any issues before pulling the trigger. For now I am on stock suspension + sport brakes. Most likely going to hold off on lowering for now and go straight to coilovers + front cup set up after tax season. I am less concerned with being "hellaflush" and more concerned about not rubbing or having to run spacers to clear my brakes.

Front 18x9.5 +22 or +30 which offset will work better?
Rear 18x10.5 +15 or +22 which offset will work better?

For tires I am wanting to do a 265/285 staggered set up. Will 265/35 18 maintain the proper aspect ratio or should I go 265/40? The rears I am pretty sure 285/35 18 will fit right I am just not sure about the fronts. Keep in mind again that I am not concerned with being "hellaflush" with these wheels I am more interested in being "hellasticky" on the track.

Can any of you fitment gurus help me out? Thanks!

Hey guys my car has forgestar f14 super deep concave wheels on it. The back is 19x11 and one broke. I'm SOL because forgestar told me to wait months for a new wheel and I don't really have the money to buy a new set. I found an F14 same size and same tire dimensions for a Ford Mustang and was wondering if I could ride on it at least until I can get a replacement for the actual wheel I have. The offset is +56 on it, I think mine was like +15 o= or +20 or something

Anybody? Need to know what offsets will clear my sport brakes without issues and the best tire sizes to run on the 18s. Thanks!

+22 on the front
+15 on the rear
-On stock suspension will fit fine.
-Will fine lowered even with moderate camber settings

If they are track tires i would advise going with a 275/40 square setup. RE11s are available in this size, and they maintain the stock diameter pretty closely.

I dunno what the hardcore track guys are running on their 18s but you can probably get some ideas in the track section of the forum, if you are looking for hardcore 18" setup.

My question for you is will +20 in the front and +15 in the rear be fine for wheels such as the SSR GTV03? I am running spacers with stock wheels at the moment and do not know if I will need spacers if I get wheels with this offset. I am also running a slightly meatier tire in the rear (285) and am lowered.

more than likely you will be fine but I can't tell you 100%. there is an SSR wheel thread floating around. maybe someone there has this wheels and you can get a confirmation on fitment.

edit: for the sake of posterity the answer is yes it will clear without spacers

New set up. CSL 5.0 Rims. No rub and sitting on swift springs with stock tires.

19X9 30 ET (20 ET w/ 10mm spacer)
19x10.5 20 ET (0 ET w/ 20mm spacers)

Since the new rims are .5" wider then stock with stock tires theres a subtle stretch. The 0 ET in the rear aggressive so theres some poke. Id say 0-3mm worth of poke where the tire meets rim. The top of the tire sits just within the fender.

I am running within stock alignment specs too. No crazy camber or anything. I'll post pictures later. I am VERY happy with the set up.
