thats a typo

275/35/19 is 26.6, which is quite close to OEM front and rear height

You’re correct about not having many Choices; to keep diameter of tires close & have a slight rake-I’d probably do the 255/40,305/35’s....but unsure what your driving plans are.
These are definitely not cold weather tires & with the partially shaved tread & low tread wear #...probably won’t last long either.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...29cd32c07c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...17ad2c109b.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...935a157e73.jpg
Now-275/35,335/30’s would look Badazz on correct Wheels’s.

My Z is sunny days only and garaged during the winter/salt season. Driving plans are basically spirited driving and maybe even 1 or 2 track days this year, now that i have a second vehicle i can keep a lot of miles off it so I'm not too worried about tread wear.
You think 255/40,305/35 would have any bad rubbing anywhere?

On a stock suspension; Nope-you’ll be good....The Invo’s really impressed me on the ride quality, handling & driving in heavy rain- even blasted it on the Dragon.
I just wore out the rears from excessive spin.

I think i will give them a try then!
That sounds like a good time, I did check out the Invo's and heard good things about them.

They just don’t like the cold; other than that...Very Good tire.

jchammond 01-12-2018 07:58 AM

285/35/19’s on 19x10...pretty square fit & 84” circumference (26.75” diameter w/38psi)
8/32” tread left w/14,000mi.
345’s didn’t do as well.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...726c222059.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d9b330bc18.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c97bcb73b3.jpg

Hey guys, I just bought Vossen CV7 staggered fitment 19x8.5 +15 and 19x10 +20 rear and I've been told to go with tire sizes of 245/40/19 front and 285/35/19 rear. I've been hearing that this tire size should be fine (no rubbing or issues) however my buddy said I should add +5mm hubcentric spacers for the rear to be more flush but someone told me that 285 and 5mm spacers will cause me problems with rubbing. What do ya'll think? Any recommendations for tire sizes and spacer fitment?

The 5 mm spacer is good call and you should have zero issues.

Thank you for the reply bud! I was nervous that it'll give me problems. What size tires would you recommend for my fitment of 19x8.5 +15 and 19x10 +20

Depends on the tire mfg. & your ride height/alignment.

If your alignment specs are stock; you may end up with 15mm spacers on rear's to even up with the front.

I have stock ride height and I'm assuming stock alignment. I bought my 2016 Z certified pre-owned from Nissan this past July.

Have you picked out a brand/style tire that you like?
All Season, Max Summer, etc...

I'm not planning on tracking the car but I do want a tire that performs well, a good bang for the back and something stable and reliable. I was looking at the following tires:
1. Michelin Pilot Super Sport 4S
2. Hancook Ventus V12
3. Nitto NT555
4. Bridgestone Potenza RE11
5. Bridgeston Pirelli

What brands would you suggested for a 245/40/19 and 285/35/19 +5mm spacer spec that will be "daily driven" only during summer, spring and fall? It is completely stored in the winter. Thanks for all your help.

iDaRkkO 01-14-2018 09:19 AM

Gais!

I need halp!

Guy around my way is selling some SSR GT10s offsets are a little sketchy.

18x8 +49 front
18x9 +41 rear

front might work but rear has me a little worried.

Will these fit ??? They look too good to say no <3

k67p67 01-14-2018 09:35 AM

Those are horrible specs for a Z. Those offsets would need to be closer to +3 and -14 to be close to flush.

OptionZero 01-14-2018 10:55 PM

LOL. C'mon man do like 10 minutes of research. Those sizes are bad for a lexus sedan

Think beyond a face design for a wheel

height, width, offset, diameter, tire size all affect how the car looks

this ain't fuckin' honda-tech

read through some wheel fitment threads and bone up on what range of sizes the Z should be wearing

iDaRkkO 01-14-2018 11:08 PM

yeah figured it would be a dumb idea after i thought about it. was a good deal tho lmao.

OptionZero 01-15-2018 02:13 AM

Keep saying this

stop looking at cheap wheels

Find what sizing u want.

If u can get a deal on THE RIGHT SIZES, sure cool

But don't fuckin jump on cheap ****

Guess what it's still ****

If you’re looking for winter beaters; pick up a set of base wheels- though they’re sunk in some/ they’re 8/9” specs are +43/+15
Unsure the cost of these Wheels you listed: but when you’d have to use 35mm or more spacers, definitely stay away!

fitment help for newb

have stock base coupe 2018
DO NOT want to change suspension or worry about rubbing and want to run 245/45/18 front 285/40/18 back
have the following choices for the wheels I like
front 18x8.5 +30 or 18x9.5 +35
back 18x10.5 +22

which will fit without issue and look decent, or are the offsets too far off? I don't have to be perfectly flush, just look nice

Thanks

thanks carlitos.......... no problems with rubbing with those sizes?
Will they look reasonably OK with the Z?

You are not going to have any problems with wheels! now I dont know if the tires that you want are going to give you problems... At least the setup that I use previously in my Gram Lights 57DR was 255/40/18 & 285/35/18 and my car was dropped on Swift springs and I dont have any problems.

You'll be fine;
Your front wheel lip's will sit 1.09" further out & 0.49" on rear's, though the tire sizes you listed will have a slight stretched appearance....as you see how the stock 245/45's fit the stock rear 9's...you'll have them on 9.5's-but with a tad more weight.
So they will look close to the same.
Tire Brand & Sizes can vary-But You won't have to worry about rubbing on stock suspension.

skidro 01-17-2018 08:55 AM

thanks guys, very helpful!!!!!!!!!! Just did not want a set up that was going to cause problems or look really bad. Glad to know it will be OK.

Ghost116 01-18-2018 10:41 AM

Can people not just go off stock sizes and add in offsets and extra width?? Then come here and confirm? Like dam 18x8 +30 my old Honda rocked that ffs

You can put what you want;
It's just some people like to roll "BIG" with 10/11's up front & 12" or more out back...
pending suspension setup-some will work & some wont; kinda helps when someone has been there-done that.

jchammond 01-18-2018 10:49 PM

Mine is currently parked w/225/50/18F & 345/30/19R on 8’s & 12’s...all stuffed under fenders; hoping Dragstrip will be open this weekend & I can finish off the 1/32” tread left on these Invo’s- before dismounting & diving into my 2 stacks of 325/30’shttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d838bf81ea.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...edccfdf852.jpg

If this has been asked sry but I've looked and looked. Looking to pick up 18 inch 10.5 wheels for square track setup with minimal spacers to be able to switch back to stock Nismo wheels without stud length issues with no spacers preferred looking at 10.5 +22 will that work or open to suggestions stock height and camber aswell thx

Yes; As i'm thinking HotRodz has a set of 18x10.5+30's & currently rolling on 18x11+18's w/315's on all 4 corners.

lowkey E 01-24-2018 08:31 AM

What would be the best tire size combo for these specs?

Base Z
19x9.5 +22 (or +15)
19x11 +15

Still deciding what I want for up front, but what which offset between the 2 (+22 or +15) will give me a more flush look up front? I am currently on stock height, but I plan on lowering down a little bit to clear the wheel gap after the 19s go on.

OTW Z-Boy 01-24-2018 08:52 AM

The "Will it fit?" thread

Short answer:

Option 1: 245/40 & 285/35 slight stretch

Option 2: 265/35 & 305/30 no stretch

Option 3: 275/35 & 325/30 meaty

All depends on your use case scenario.

And for the offsets +22 & +15 works for flushyness just have to take into account akebono clearance if need be.

I currently don't have akebonos, just the base brakes. I do plan on upgrading to those, but that's not until far into the future.

iDaRkkO 01-24-2018 02:14 PM

Hai Gais

Just a quick question more than anything.

Looking to run 18 x 10.5 +15 squared.

Tires sizes is my only concern.

tires im looking at are 275/40/18
should i stagger that sidewall like i see most others do make it 40 front and 35 rear or would 40 all 4 corners be fine ?

Lowered on swifts FYI

Thanks! <3
