Gentlemen, I have not posted in a while, but I am about to obtain a set of wheels....

20x10 on front
20x11 on rear

question regarding tires... what would be ideal sizes?

Front Options are:

265/30/20
265/35/20
275/30/20
275/35/20

Rear Options are:

305/25/20
315/35/20
325/25/20
325/30/20

Tires would be either Honkook V12, Continental DW, or Dunlop Maxx GT

Any help is appreciated.

tires n wheels

Hello, my name is dbayb and i am new to the group..
I am looking at 20x9.5 with 255/30 and 20x11 with 305/25..
I dont want to do any adjustments except changing wheels..

also in the meantime i wanted to put larger tires on the stock
wheels of 18x8 and 18x9, what are the widest tires that wil fit
on the STOCK wheels??
thank all of u in advance for your help.

Desperatly need new tires on the Z, looking at either Michelin super sports or sport cups. Would really like to get the sport cups. These are going on stock rims tho (sports package 19")

So would these fit? not rub? look good?

Michelin Pilot Sport Cup
front- 265/35 R19 XL
rear- 305/30R19 XL

daisuke149 04-29-2011 01:59 PM

theres a guy who just posted up 305's with a 20mm spacer and if it perfect. although he was dropped on H&R. you should be fine without spacers.

You can do 25 mm in the front if you want I think someone has that, but I have 20 mm and it fits just fine. The problem is if you are lowered you may scrap the fender lining/bumper tabs. I only experience that on hard banking turns or deep bumps. If I adjust the dampening on my kw's it may go away buy I haven't had the chance to do that yet.

I also have 20mm in the front and dropped on BC Coils. I get the same rub and it's kinda driving me crazy. I've set the dampening to full hard and it still does it on hard banks and going up steep driveways. How low are you front ground to top of wheel arch? I made the mistake of not measuring the stock height and not knowing how low I actually went. But from the ground to the top of the wheel arch in the front im sitting at 26 and a quarter.

Reaper, these will fit just fine. This is a popular choice among the guys who are still using the stock 19"s...although a 275 up front is more common because it's only .5% off the stock diameter, rather than 1.5% off with the 265.

The 20" wheels will fit depending on the offsets.

The widest you can go on the stock wheels would be a 245/45/18F and 275/40/18R.

I'm running a 19"x10"F and 19"x11"R and am using 275/35/19F and 305/30/19R. I'd suggest the same for you unless you will be running aggressive offsets up front...then you might want to go down to a 265.

KaienZ34 05-02-2011 07:39 PM

This is my current setup info stock ride height 20X9.5+35 F. 20X10.5+10 R .. 255/30/20 F .. 305/25/20 R

265/35/20 F.. 305/30/20 R .. would these sizes be no good?

That will work fine, but why not do a 275/35/20 in the front?

I just love how fat the 305 looks, and the one time i went to the track i could just nail it with no spin.

I meant front

Would that be better ?? I don't know much about tire sizes.

If I were you, I'd do a 265/35/20 up front and a 295/30/20 in the rear.

I have Nitto Invos. I thought about the Hankooks and may give them a shot next since they are a bit cheaper and they still get great reviews.

I've read a lot of people using the 265/35/19F and 305/30/19R setup on their sport wheels. I have a stock 2009 Nismo and was wondering if I could fit 275/35/19F and 305/30/19R on my OEM Nismo wheels without rubbing. Do I have to get spacers? My car is completely stock (not lowered, no camber kit, etc). I was curious because 275 seems to be a better match in diameter and there seems to be a lot more options as far as tire choices go. Thanks and I really appreciate everyone's advice.

A 275/35/19 will work with no rubbing. Spacers are up to you and whether or not you want the wheels to sit more aggressively.

Thanks for the quick response. I think I'm going to have to trust your advice and grab some 275/35/19 for my fronts. I just have 1 follow-up question about the spacers. I've heard 15mm all around is a good size for my car using the 265/35/19F and 305/30/19R setup. If I go with 275 in front, what size spacer should I use in the front? Also, what's a good yet not outrageously expensive company to buy spacers from? Thanks again for your help.

get the tires first. you can always add spacers later!

Agreed

Wheels:
19" x 8" - 38mm (front)
19: x 9" - 38mm (rear)

I'm a really newbie in this tire stuff. What would be the best tire size/spacers option for this wheels ??? Thanks in advance

98intrigue 05-15-2011 07:27 PM

^ Those are narrower than the OEM sport 19s. I would skip ut on purchasing those sizes.

Tire help

Hello everyone. I just purchased 20 inch wheels.
20x8.5 with 40 offset and 20x10 with a 35 offset. HELO 834's
the dealer tells me the largest tires are 245/35 frt and 275/30 rear.

I want to know if i can put 255/35 frt and 285/30 rear or 275/35 rear??
any help would be greatly appreciated. I am running completly stock and
dont plan on doing any other changes right now. If anyone is running these larger sizes have you had any rubbing issues??:excited:

Those tires will work, but the wheel fitment will be horribly sunk in.

245/35 19x9.5+12
275/35 19x10.5+0
How will this sit? how much negative camber will I need to run? I have a rear camber and toe kit but front is stock.

Here are some pics of 19x9.5+12. You can refer to pictures of my setup for the rear fitment...mine is 19x11+9. My rear vs your 19x10.5+0 would be within 3mm of each other.

Thank you for the reply. so the wheels would be pushed in towrads the middle and not out flush?? Discount Tire told me that these are the correct offsets and they would sit like the stock...

dbayb 05-24-2011 04:13 PM

Tires??

Need a little more help.. Anyone have any experience with these tires?

Falken 452 // Yoko S.drive //hankook V12 or V4 ..??
Looking for a good tire that gives good traction and not a lot of road noise..
