Wouldn't that be really close to rubbing?

Hi There,
Link to wheel photo attached below.... I love this set up. Photo states 20x9 and 20x10.5 I have eibach lowering springs ( not installed but will be ) Box says 1 inch drop. What kind of spacing would i need for this set up? Also what size of tire should I be looking for with these wheels? Google Image Result for http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3539/3641488725_b9c075b9b4_z.jpg Thank you... Last edited by pilatus; 04-24-2012 at 04:30 PM. |

I am looking at;
19x9.5 32 front with probably 265 tire. 19x10.5 27 rear with probably 305 tire. I think I will be about half an inch in at those offsets, maybe a bit less. I don't mind not being flush, but I don't want it to look the way it does stock either. I really don't want to run spacers. Is my thinking correct on the amount of recess from the fender to the outer face of the wheel? Thanks. |

Hi guys. I went and bought these: Rebs RS6 Wheels - 19x9.5 +12 & 19x10.5 +22 350Z G35 370Z G37 and the front tires rub. They sent me to a shop to "roll" the front fenders as they rubbed right away. It's better now, but the main problem is they are hitting the bracket where the edge of the fender is bolted to the front bumper located at about the red square in the pic. I hit it with the dremel and reduced the amount it protrudes, and it's better, but still rubs over a decent road imperfection. The rears are fine and have a 1" spacer with 285's. The fronts have 245/40/19's
I don't really want to run a lower profile tire as "feeling" the road is already at its threshold. If absolutely necessary, I'd do it. Here's what I'm thinking: Machine inside of wheel to remove a few mm and machine rotor surface to remove a few mm. Hopefully, that would give me the offset to eliminate rubbing. Your thoughts, alternate solutions, and opinions are appreciated. ![]() ![]() ![]() In this next pic, you can see the bit of stretch the fronts have now with the 245/40/19's with the 9.5" wheels: ![]() Last edited by bellger; 05-16-2012 at 02:04 AM. |

ok so im on stock rims with 25mm spacers all around and this is how my car looks
19x9 +22 && 19x10 +5(25mm spacers all around) ![]() if i were to get rims 19x11 +0. would it stick out ALOT more? or just 5mm? would the width of the rim make it stick out a bit more or anything? because im pretty much flush right now and thats how i like it but the rims i'm looking at are only available with +0.

Don't machine down your wheels.. You can bend up that fender tab, the bumper being plastic will give a little. Also go to your local pepboys or autozone etc and buy a license plate mounting kit like this: I've found that the square plastic piece in that kit fits into the metal bumper tab hole. And if you use a flatter, wider screw it prevents it from rubbing even more. Maybe a tad bit of camber wouldn't hurt too. Its a shitty design, its like almost on top of the wheel. I had the same problem even with crazy stretch on the tire.
