don't like either of those

tRidiot 10-22-2013 02:29 AM

Agreed... not a fan. Sorry.

KaienZ34 10-22-2013 05:37 AM

Just me but they look like truck wheels from the 90's.

ufoz8mycow 10-22-2013 12:14 PM

Both options. Ugly.

Infamous 10-22-2013 04:30 PM

Scott your sense of style is unique... that being said, I don't like any of the wheels you posted.

ScottOmatic 10-22-2013 05:12 PM

Hmm, maybe not a fan favorite.. But they look like they will fit, yes? I need to find something pretty soon or get in my beater because the car is starting to slide around out there.

I may replace the Ray's some day, but for now I need some cheaper 18's that can't really be wider than 8.5", a limited selection indeed. It'd probably be better to go with 8" but those are even harder to find. I could always get the base 18" front rims, that are 8" wide and put them on all fours but I still think I'd like something unique, even if they are winter wheels.

I will tell you right now that I own an '83 Z as well... So maybe you can see some of that retroness (gaudiness?) coming out in my style choices.

Drex 10-22-2013 08:19 PM

if you haven't already, check out the selection at tirerack.com. you can input the Z's specs, including that you have the sports package, and it will only show you wheels that will fit.

ScottOmatic 10-22-2013 08:46 PM

Hi Drex, I have done that before and unfortunately when you enter the sports package model into tirerack.com it assumes you do not want a wheel smaller than the default size of 19".

It also assumes that I want a staggered setup when I want a square setup (but most likely with different offsets).

It really throws a spanner into the whole process.

Drex 10-22-2013 09:24 PM

try searching specifically for winter wheels/tires. it will then give you 18" options. This is how I purchased mine.

Try this link: http://www.tirerack.com/snow/changeo...amefrom=wtpack

ScottOmatic 10-22-2013 11:21 PM

Okay, that works.. Pretty slick. Thanks!

BlazinManStan 10-31-2013 02:52 PM

I apologize if this has been asked before but I could not find it.

2011 370z Varstoen es 2.2.2 19x9.5 Front, 19x10.5 Rear, Lowered with Swift Springs
245/40-19 Front, 285/35-19 Rear
Will it fit?
If it's not suitable, suggestions?

Thank you for the help!

KaienZ34 10-31-2013 03:34 PM

Offsets are going to be the determining factor, but with swifts and those tire sizes you can run pretty much anything.

SgtGoldy 11-01-2013 07:42 PM

I know this is a Z site but maybe you guys can help with the G

10.5 +23 wheel mounting 275/35/19 (currently at 265/35/19) with brackets cut and fender liner trimmed. I'm grabbing some RE11s within the next week or two (whenever my car gets out of the shop).

Riptide67 11-03-2013 11:13 AM

275/35/19 Toyo Proxes

Will it fit on front wheels 19x9.5 + 20 without having to modify the fenders or wheel liner plastic?

I'm lowered on swifts.

Riptide67 11-11-2013 05:27 PM

Anyone know the answer to my above question? It would be greatly appreciated!

idk...

So 265/35/19 and 285/35/19 with stock wheel offsets, 25/30mm spacers and lowered on swift springs fits.

I'm lowered on swifts.

I have 19x9.5 +25 with 275/35-19 PSS. Stock height Nismo. No rubs.

Riptide67 11-11-2013 11:03 PM

That's a pretty good reference with the Nismo height. I'm thinking it should be okay with no rubbing.

KaienZ34 11-12-2013 12:30 PM

I'm running 19x9.5+20--255/35/19 up front and 19x10.5+0--295/30/19 lowered on swifts and I have no problems, tires are MPSS. There is enough room that i'll be getting coils soon and go about a 1/4" lower in the front and about 1" lower in the rear.

imwazn 11-19-2013 04:18 PM

Didn't see this thread earlier, but I made a new one...

Anyways:

I'm looking at getting Varrstoen ES1's, but I don't want to get 19's.

What do you guys think about getting a square set up of 18x10.5+30 in the front, and 18x10.5+15 in the back?

Also, I am lowered on Eibach pro's, about an inch drop. The other option is 18x10.5+22 on the front or back. Thanks for the help!

BlazinManStan 11-22-2013 12:00 AM

Varrstoen es 2.2.2. 19x9.5 19x10.5 +0 offset all around slightly lowered on swift springs currently running 245/40-19 f 285/35-19 r Potenza S-04
My front tires rub against the fenders on small bumps going mid-speed. Does anyone have advice on how to fix the rub? What do you guys think about shaving the wheels around 10-12mm to create offset? Other suggestions?
Thanks

A simple roll would fix the issue.

Work vs-xx
18x11 +15 18x12 +7 with springs
Will it fit flush with no camber?

I am not an expert when it comes to this.. but I would say with no camber it may poke a little. Someone correct me if I am wrong!

lesper4 11-27-2013 04:43 PM

I have some Volk SF Winning 19x8.5 all around with a +30 offset I know they are not staggered but I was just wondering if they will fit? They came from an Evo guy and I used them on my RX-8. I may pick up a 370 this weekend. thanks.

Just picked my Z up! Pretty sure I am selling this now. I think the Evo and STI clubs would like them.

I wouldn't bet on flush fitment. Those with no camber would poke out even on my Nismo haha BUT some poke to me wouldn't look all that bad. With some camber I would imagine the lip would stick a little past the fender still.

I'm running Work VSXX too. 19x10+0 and 19x12+0.

You're definitely going to need a roll and pull for the fronts. The rears will be absolutely fine.

wrxrcr 12-02-2013 03:23 PM

On the sport wheels can i run 285 front and rear without spacers?

You want to put a 285 on the Sport wheels in the front? The front's 9" +47, I'm pretty sure you will rub.

Rear with a 285 will be fine.

egz 12-02-2013 05:18 PM

I had the original 275 rears on the front (305 on rear)and they were a pain to get on. Idt 285 will fit on the front.

Anyone know how the fitment will be with:

volk re30
19 x 10 +30
19 x 11 +15

Will it poke/flush/clear base brake or sports bbk?

Thanks for the help!

Plan on running c stock in scca, i saw that autox guy on here running 295s r comps. I know r comps like stretch better but i was hoping to run a square setup, tires anyways.

Those offsets will clear, rear will be pretty flush, front should be pretty flush as we'll, you may rub when turning depending on if your lowered and camber. But you can dial that in, depending on what you're going for.

Thanks for the tip! I'm lowered on swifts at the moment but plan on getting coils after picking up the wheels.

CarbonFZ 12-03-2013 06:40 PM

how well will a 19x10-2 and 19x11-7 work? slammed on coils but looking to raise to where theres no gap but tire showing my only concerned is that im going to have to stretch the front tire which im trying to avoid trying to go more function. heres how the car sits

wasn't a huge fan of the 13's originally, but i think those ray's look sick now.

dang370z 12-03-2013 10:29 PM

Anyone running 20x10+10 and 20x11+5?
I'm thinking about running these with possibly 265/30/20 and 296/25/20.

Will I rub? What kind of camber am I looking at "trying" to run this setup? Any insight would help!

ETnismo 01-20-2014 05:28 PM

ok ive read through here but there are so many posts its hard to find. I have stock nismo wheels and looking to get new rear tires. want to go to a 295 width but the only sidewall they offer on that is a "30" and the stock tire is "35" will there be any bad affects by going with a shorter sidewall?
