Yes it will fit and ride just fine. Remember you will feel more of the road.

ZBW39 06-12-2010 12:55 AM

bullitt, what offset is good for the setup you recommended?
thanks

Ok let's see here:

I am going to make a few assumptions for you.

Say your running a 9.5" and 10.5" combo. I would run toyo R888 255/265 up front and 295/305 rear. This would I think be an ideal track setup on 19's or 18's

antman22 08-02-2010 05:17 PM

What is the max set up you can have on the sport rims? Front- 265 or 275? Rear- I'm guessing 305?

Rim Fit Question

Hi All,

I am a complete newby and have spent 3 hours online trying to figure out the answer to this questions but still don't know. I hope a few minutes of your time, will provide the answer.

I just bought a 2010 370Z Base. I understand current rims are 18x8 in front and 18x9 in back with 225/50/18 tires. My research tells me that these rims are 5-114.3

I have no intention to go on the track and have fallen in love with some rims which are 5-114, 18", with recommended Tire Size: 215/40-18 . I found some places online that say the difference between 5-114.3 and 5-114 is minor and so as long as you ensure the lugs are tight, you shouldn't have problems. Questions:

1. Will they fit
2. Any problem having same width wheels of both front and back?
3. What will I need to do to adjust the front or back given that the width will be different than the originals?
4. Would I use the recommended tire size of 215/40-18 for he 370Z or use the original 225/50/18 tires or ?

Thanks SOOooo much in advance. This answer will be very helpful.

cossie1600 08-07-2010 09:55 PM

215/40/18? What are they trying to sell you, Prius tires?

jeffreyfranz 08-08-2010 11:50 AM

IMHO, 215 is too narrow for our car, even the Base version. I would stick with no less than the factory-spec 225 up front. Good luck, and welcome to the club.

370z TT 08-08-2010 02:01 PM

So I have an 09 touring package wth the stock enkeis. I have foud the rims I want for the car:

BBS RE RE-Mg ACQ Forged Magnesium Rims Wheels - The Tuners Group

18x10 in front, and 18x11 in rear with either toyo r888 or hoosier r6's

What would be the best tire widths for a track setup and would the front rub at all? I'm also going for lightweight so any other rim suggestions are welcome.

Imperial 10-11-2010 03:46 PM

Anyone know the widest wheel widths our cars can handle without any complications? I'm thinking of getting my wheels widened at least an inch all around... they have the same dimensions and offsets as the stock 19" Ray's & I'm running 20mm (front) and 25mm (rear) spacers.

KaienZ34 10-11-2010 05:08 PM

I know there are some people on this forum that have 11 inch wide rear rims. My volks are 20X9.5+35 Front and 20X10.5+10 in the Rear i don't know if this helps.

Imperial 10-11-2010 05:11 PM

Thanks... I already know those widths work because that's what the stock Nismo Ray's come in... but what I'm really wondering is if I could go half an inch wider than that.

zcoupe09 10-12-2010 07:57 PM

Here are the specs:
front: 18X8.5 +35
rear: 18X9.5 +35
tires: 245/45/R18 all around.

winter set up....all season tires...in NJ winters dont get too crazy by me

Imperial 10-13-2010 12:29 AM

Is this setup possible?:

Front: 19X10, 285/35-19
Rear: 19X12, 325/30-19

HATED1 10-25-2010 06:50 PM

question?
19x9.5 +40 with 15mm spacer
19x10.5 +23 with 20mm spacer
245/40/19
305/30/19
lowered on coils
any problems with running this tire setup?

Kdberan 10-25-2010 09:24 PM

Does anyone know if the OEM Maxima 18" wheels will fit? I am looking at buying some for my winter setup, they are 18x7.5 +40. Thanks in advance!

diablokev87 10-29-2010 12:04 PM

What do you guys think of these for a winter setup..
They are 18x8.5 37 offset. I want these for winter and if i do eventually try to drift.

Do you think they will fit over the front sport brakes?

I would go with a 9" wheel to give you more tire options.

Depending on the tire brand and on your suspension setup the answer is yes and no.

We need more details...

That wheel has a 5x100 bolt pattern.

diablokev87 10-29-2010 12:57 PM

They have the 114 as well.

I wanted to go with the 8.5 to fit some 225 on the wheel. Stretched look and cheaper tires to replace more often. :)

bullitt5897 10-29-2010 02:29 PM

then your 8.5" specs look like the will fit just not pretty...

diablokev87 10-29-2010 02:41 PM

Yea i feel so conflicted. I just want some cheap wheels for the winter time that looks ok-ish, and will fit 225. In the summer times im going to get te37s.

You can take 2 of my 225's that I just bought. As for the rims, its whatever you like for the winter.

Make that 275/35-19 front & 325/30-19 rear, Nitto Invo tires. Thanks.

Will 25mm spacers all around be okay on OEM 19" Rays wheels (Sport Package)?

KaienZ34 10-31-2010 10:30 AM

I'm not sure on the 25's but here's minicobra1's setup with the stock rays. In these pics he's running 20mm all around with 255/35/19-F..305/30/19-R tires take a look.

Oh, damn. Yeah, 25s will rub. Looks like I'll have to do some spacer trading.

OMGWTFBBQ 11-01-2010 10:50 AM

If anything, you can choose to stick with stock tire widths and camber the wheels in a little more to get the extra outside clearance you need.

Hi guys,

I currently own a grand touring, 2007 350z. I do drive the vehicle year round, and use the following 18" wheels during winter:

Sport Edition SE14 Wheels - Wheel Size & Price Details - 1010tires.com

Anyway, I may have the opportunity to purchase a 370 in the near future, but I was wondering if my winter rims would fit on a 370z, in particular on the sport package?

The rims fit over the Brembo brakes on the 350z, but am not sure they will fit over the Akebono brakes. In the event they don't fit over the Akebono, I take it they will still fit over the regular, non sport package brakes?

Thanks for the help!

Wheel: MSR Wheels - Style 044 (MSR Wheels - Style 044)
Size: 18x8
Pattern: 5 on 4.5
Offset: +42mm
Tire: Michelin X-Ice Xi2
Tire Size: 225/50R18 (all four corners)

Will they fit on a 370Z with (Akebono) sport brakes?

25 mm spacers in the back would fit. I have 20 mm plus stepped up to 285 width wheels and there is still some space with stock camber at the rear. If you wanna go 305 in the back then 20mm is good. You can do 25 mm in the front if you want I think someone has that, but I have 20 mm and it fits just fine. The problem is if you are lowered you may scrap the fender lining/bumper tabs. I only experience that on hard banking turns or deep bumps. If I adjust the dampening on my kw's it may go away buy I haven't had the chance to do that yet.

KaienZ34 11-10-2010 03:51 PM

I'm looking at getting a set of the 370 base 18inch rims for track shoes (some road course auto-x stuff) mostly for the 1/4 mile drag. My car is tour/sport with stock height, only sway bars are aftermarket the rest of the suspension is stock. What are some good tire sizes and brands that will work with this setup ? Would this be ok ? 245/45/18-F...275/40/18-R ?? I don't really know, i'm just pulling these numbers out my AZZ...:shakes head:

Thanks for your time and help:tiphat:

phunk 11-10-2010 10:55 PM

i wouldnt want something so small for track use??? sounds like they will perform worse than your street combo??

KaienZ34 11-10-2010 11:01 PM

Bad wheel size or tire size or both ? If it's just the tire size what's the widest tire that would work ? Thanks again.

Nikon FM 11-10-2010 11:06 PM

Will it fit (TEIN Monoflex Coilovers with EDFC included)

I'm planning on picking these up in a few weeks. What I have heard is that with the EDFC motors installed there is plastic trimming required in order for the system to fit for the 370Z.

radio5boro 11-16-2010 12:53 PM

my friends gonna lend me his supra wheels wrapped in blizzaks for the winter. i dont know the offsets i just know they are 17x8 and 17x8.5 will they clear my stock akebonos?
