If they don't hit the brakes they will clear; 6.89" backspacing on a 9"+48,,,base 18" rear wheels are 9"+15 with 5.61" backspacing....I've seen Z's with more than 7.5" backspacing on the rear wheels.

HI there,
Saw one too many new threads which OP was flamed so I thought I would ask my question in this already existing thread. I am not a newb to cars whatsoever and I contribute a descent amount to this forum considering Its been a short while so hopefully I can get some assistance as the section of wheels is something I am not extremely confident in.

I own a 2012 with sport brakes. Before going into my questions, I never track my car, going more for looks than performance, currently stock suspension but considering Eibach springs for mild drop ( I can't do 1" drop for these roads/lifestyle), and I do not want poke past the fender, or if anything just minimal. Def don't want to see the front tires sticking out while looking at it from the front.

My questions is as followed:
1. I want to run Rohana RC7 20x10" +25 on the front. It seems this may poke out based on the chart I found (posted below). I was also told it may not clear the brakes and a spacer will be needed which basically could bring the offset to +20 possibly, will this look strange?
I want the 10" for more concave on the front is the only reason. I am aware of this wheel brand and it not being the best wheel so I don't need comments on that.

2. Rear is 20 x11" +28, I understand I will probably need to get this around +17/+18 with a spacer to make it flush against the rear quarter panel. I don't want to use spacers but it's so hard to find wheels with perfect offset specs. I'm guessing these specs are safe but wanted to clarify.

3. Is it safe to assume that I can go off of similar offset specs on those with 19 x 10 in the front as wheel height (whether it's 19 or 20) isn't going to have a difference on depth? Hope that made sense.

I understand every 1/2" width increase is about 6mm gain. Below is a chart I found somewhere along the threads I've read and wanted to see if it holds true. Also a pic of the wheels on someone's car but those were 9" on the front.

My biggest concern is question #1 and if I have to use spacers to lower the offset, how much more it would stick out.

Would really appreciate some assistance with those running 20" and similar specs. THank you.

Daniel; go to the [official]370z wheel fitment guide (pics/specs) only & ck out some of the Cra there & notice their camber settings/// Camber plays huge role in choosing correct offset wheels for flush fitment.
If you're going to do a suspension mod/ you may want to do it before choosing offset wheel.
Normally a 1" staggered setup would require 10-13 more + offset than rear.
Look at some of these cars, I'm thinking a couple are running 10" wide on front w/around +30 or so....I definitely agree with you wanting the perfect fit before ordering wheels/that is why I have my suspension aligned to my preference & have good hub-centric spacers to flush my stock wheels....Good luck & message me anytime; as lots of members can help.

Hi jchammond,
Thank you for your input. I have looked through that entire thread and by seems my specs will be okay but sometimes it's a little difficult to be certain.
I am completely aware a lot about fitting will vary on tire sizes (stretch) and camber settings. Ideally I would like to keep the camber within oem specs simply just for tire wear. I am aware many are running close to 2 degrees camber to ft more aggressive wheels.
I guess what I am really looking for is someone with similar specs to chime in and confirm these offsets would fit fine without having to run a high amount of negative camber or even close to oem specs.
As much as I want to heed your advice, I really would like to see how my car sits with these new wheels before dropping because ultimately I hate to drop his car as I can't get into my workplace. My cars not daily but I like to take it to work at times. I need to see if it will clear and if it looks bad, I'll do a mild drop to compensate. I do have a full amuse style kit which helps to make the car look lower. Practicality is my ultimate goal here. Tired of low life which I had wth my static ls430.

Billet (username) has helped me or a bit and I appreciate everyone's input.

Thank you all. hope to get more input.

Not overly aggressive w/18x8+23 & 18x9+10,,,245/45 & 275/40 w/minimal negative camber.

Depends on width.......kind of a basic question.

Can get a deal on these but think they will be a bit too wide, ie stick out which I don't want whatsoever. If somebody can confirm that would be much appreciated.

19x8.5 35 (255/40)
19x9.5 35 (285/35)

I have a hunch that's too much offset for me to tuck in the wheel well, especially with a slight (1.0-1.25, .75-1.0) drop and 1* camber-ish.

ChaseZ,
you will be out about 15mm further than stock on front (easily clear)
you will go in about 13mm further than stock (will clear/but tuck underneath)
You can use premium wheel spacers to bring them both out to a more flush fit.

That will bring my IN on the rear? I can get same wheel with 45 offset instead, and if I can get there without spacers I'd prefer that.

ChaseZ,
with the staggered fitment of the Z wheels,
you will run about +13 more offset on the front than the rear (pending they are only 1" difference)
example 19x8.5+25 & 19x9.5+12,,,after you get your offsets (+ or - whatever) then you have to calculate your backspacing & front spacing.
My ~Z~ has base 18x8+43F & 18x9+15R with 20mm Front spacers & 5mm rear spacer,,,rear would need more-pending a had more negative camber than i run.
So; are these new wheels or used ones?

They are new. I have a promo/credit to use up.

Damn these backwards offsets. I've been used to the 4x4 world where I'm more concerned with back spacing than anything.

I'll see what other ones are eligible.

Thanks guys

These are the ones I was looking at..

Buy a 2" staggered set-up & then you can use the same offset.
and i'll take a little Promo/Credit off your hands.
