Rim Size
So idk if this was posted else where and i missed it if so my bad =[, but why do most people recommend 19" rims and say 20" is to big is it just a looks factor or other factors too?
|
same reason with the 350z's, people just don't like the idea of 20's on our cars. The reasoning behind it is performance mainly. However, I rather have forged 3 piece 20's over alot of these 1piece or 2 piece 19's people put on. Its all a matter of preference. I had 20's on my old 350. 3 piece forged wheels that look great on a car...I fail to see the problem . Just my two cents.

If u care more about looks, get 20's
if u like performance go 19's |

Sick 350. What kind of wheels are on those? I'm all obout the pearl white. Thought about doing this though...also 20s. |
There are a few reasons people will recommend 19" wheels over 20" wheels.
The first being that a 19" wheel is going to be lighter than a 20" wheel, and the less unsprung weight the better. The second reason to run a 19" over a 20" is because a 20" wheel puts more stress on the wheel bearings and on the brakes. Another draw back to 20's is that there are not many high performance tire options, such as the R compound tires available. Most are only available in sizes up to 19". Also, the ride will be much more rough with a 20" wheel because of the smaller sidewall. All in all wheel size is all personal preference, and depends on what you want to do with your car. If you plan on going to the occasional track day or spirited driving, go with the 19's. If you are putting wheels on solely for the looks, then 20's are for you. If you are really into performance get some 18's! |

I'm scared to even drive with 19's the way the potholes are around here at the moment. I run 18" for track, 19" for street, and 22" for yo dawg look at my shiznit!
No, I really don't have 22's :) |

But most BBKs don't fit with 18" wheels =/

I think people just prefer 19's because it's a good mix of looks, performance and weight
