Tire size for 10.5 rim

I have a roadster sport and getting a package of rim and tire. They are Petrol rims size 20x8.5 and 20x10.5. and the tire are 245/35/20 and 285/30/20. Is it OK or will look funny. I don't have much knowledge in tire and wheel selection, any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

285s on a 10.5" wheel should be fine although its about the narrowest tire I would put on a wheel of that width. I have 285s on my 10.5" Venacis only because they were the factory tires and were nearly brand new. Will probably move up to 305s when I need to replace them.

I've had 265-35 on 19x10.5 before and it's a stretch. I've also ran 275-35 on same size wheels and they look fine. I'm now running 285-30 on my 20x11 and it's about perfect.

It's also depends on tires as well. Some tires have meatier sidewalls than others.

Here's how my Dunlop Sportmax 275-35 looked on my 19x10.5. As you can see the rim's lip is protected perfectly.

If I use 295/35/20 (stock is 275/35/19) is it going to damage my vehicle?

Ditto. 305/35 on 19x10" (19x10.5 would be better)

Besides the above I also have 315's on 18x11" rims, no clearance issues.
