Threw on my CE's and went for a drive... some pics

Finally got a chance to wash the Z... some pics I took when out driving...

Wheel specs are 19x9.5 +22 F and 19x10.5 +23 R - and that's stock ride height...

m4a1mustang 04-04-2010 05:31 PM

Man those wheels look great!

370Z JT 04-04-2010 05:34 PM

that's hot!

Nikon FM 04-04-2010 05:35 PM

Great looking wheels! I like the wheel color with the car…..nice!

fullmonty 04-04-2010 05:43 PM

Looks good!

shabarivas 04-04-2010 07:35 PM

thanks :) i need to replace the tires soon and am at a loss for what to run... the specs are 9.5F +22 and 10.5R +23 - what are people running?

m4a1mustang 04-04-2010 07:36 PM

Depends on what you're after, really. I heard some good things about the Hankook Ventus V12s so I am going to give those a shot. :)

shabarivas 04-04-2010 07:44 PM

yea they are certainly wallet friendly - its between those and some toyos for me... i meant what tire sizes should i run with those wheels?... Want to upgrade from 245/275 but want to keep handling aspects identical...

m4a1mustang 04-04-2010 07:45 PM

Ah, gotcha... that's what I'm trying to figure out myself :)

theDreamer 04-04-2010 07:45 PM

Tires size for those wide of wheels I would look at 265 or 275 for the fronts and 305 for the rear.
Wheels look great, is the car lowered or stock ride height?

FLZ 04-04-2010 07:46 PM

This is exactly what I wanted to see!!!
Nice ride + wheels! :)
what size are those btw?

shabarivas 04-04-2010 07:54 PM

updated the first post w/ size

CrownR426 04-04-2010 09:39 PM

u went too conservative.
def. needs a drop and some beefier tires!

shabarivas 04-04-2010 09:54 PM

I didnt go too anything... These are the wheels off my G35... just got around to throwing them on my Z...

TacoZ 04-05-2010 01:08 AM

Sexy rims. Can't go wrong with CEs on any car.

Ztoon 04-05-2010 01:42 AM

Oh I know that - but what size profile and what brand of tires are you guys running?

I Run L.A. 04-05-2010 02:22 PM

Nice ride.. I also have CE in the garage waiting to be thrown on, but im going to wait to drop it first..

Chris_1 04-05-2010 03:33 PM

Most setups we put on right now are 255 up front and 295 or 305 in the rear. It depends if you want the meaty look or not.

shabarivas 04-05-2010 04:02 PM

I dont mind the meaty look - I care about performance and how the handling changes more than looks of the space etc...

wouldnt 255 -> 305 be too big a change when compared to 245->275?? one case you are increasing the contact patch by 10% and in the other by almost 16%...

fatcat777 04-06-2010 08:24 PM

looks great. if i can save up the cash i'd love a set of bronze wheels.

feel free to post more pics :)

shabarivas 04-06-2010 08:58 PM

haha yea got a few pics of my G35 at the time w/ those wheels on... ill see if i can dig em up :)

HKYStormFront 04-06-2010 09:15 PM

car looks good, CE's are FTW

Z33knight 04-09-2010 08:46 AM

Hawt. Needs a bit of a drop to finish the look, but I am sure you already have that planned.

Makes me wonder what those would look like on a MB.

FLZ 04-09-2010 08:37 PM

I dunno if u have see my reply
but may i ask the wheel size, width and offset? ty :)

I would think so. And, I am with you, I care more about performance and handling more than looks... My CEs will be on at month end or so. Can't wait!

schrute 04-10-2010 02:03 AM

LOVE those rims. Perfect choice.

shabarivas 04-10-2010 02:19 AM

Thanks for the kind words. I am under debate on between saving up for a GTM SC versus going balls out suspension / bracing stuff with some minor breather mods. I live near really bumpy roads that are incredibly fun to drive on... so if i lowered it too much and made it much too stiff - i might end up bottoming out a lot :(
