Default Will a 15x10 +38 offset fit in the rear of base Z

I need something to get my Z moving if/when I go to the track..

Ive decided on going with Hoosier or MT Drag Radials with a 15 inch steel race wheel if it will fit...

The Drag Radial Specs are as follows :

D.O.T. Drag Radial
Tire Size: P275/60R15
Tread Width: 10.0"
Diameter: 28.0"
Circle: 88.0"
Recommended Rim: 8-10"
Measured Rim: 8"
Section Width: 11.5"
Tire Weight: 24

OR

go with a 17 or 18 wheel/tire combo ?

Those Diameters is the closest I can get to the Stock front tire diameter with the OEM 19s that are on my car...

My only bump in the road now is find out if the 15x10 wheels I am looking at will fit...

Wheels are Specs are :

Unique 297 15X10 5-4.5 -38B OR going to look for used welds

will this be a safe setup for just track use ?

thank for any info, its much appreciated!

I'll be surprised if those fit over the stock brakes.

Base brakes and i'd add spacers. Base brakes are tiny. 350 guys get 15s on problem. Are they the same size ?

Why not drop by a wheel dealer and pull one rear and slip on a 15" wheel to check for clearances?

I have went to three places by me , and its more the offset I am worried about... I think the 15 will clear no problem since 350 guys use them all the time and my base brakes are no bigger than there , atleast that what I am assuming.

dont make that assumption... go get a ruler or measuring tape and find out the dimensions of the non sport brakes bring us back that info and I can help you. I need full diameter top of caliper to edge of rotor. I need center of Hub face to outer edge of caliper. I need to know how far out the stock caliper sticks out from hub face (i.e. 15mm or 25mm) something along those lines will help us to better help you.

i put weld pro stars on my 2003 350 z
front 15 x 4
rear 15 x 8
it has the small brake package.
i had to put a small 3 mm spacer on the front so that it would clear the caliper, it just skinned it as it was a very tight fit with out the spacer.
For the track you will have to change the wheel studs and they have to stick out 3/8 of an inch past the wheel lugs that fir those rims.
The rims and skinney tires and slicks are on the picture on the 350.

I have some drag radials mounted on 15x7 inch rims and threw them on just to see. It spun freely in the air but i never drove the car with it on. I'm not sure of the back spacing of the rim.

Z Eliminator, I'm dying to see those 18" TE-37's with drag radials! How close is the season opener?

Bad news on the local drag strip. It went up on "power of sale ".
I had to order the drag radials from the USA and im expecting them this week. My local tire store has jacked up the price of these tire's because they are " new design product " 415.00 CDN + 13 % tax. vs 262.00 US. each tire.
Im giving my buisness to the USA .
The other track opens on Easter weekend.
Will keep you posted.
