Ideal Offset/Tires for these wheels
Hi guys,
I'm a total idiot when it comes to offsets and tire setups. I just need help on this area. I'm being offered a set of 20" wheels and I can choose the offsets for front and rear. The wheels are: - 20"x9 - Front - 2" lip - 20"x11 - Rear - 4" lip What would be the ideal offsets for these wheels..?? I don't like the idea of using spacers so I would want offsets that will widen up the stance of the Z to a nice looking finish. I'm not sure if it's relevant or not but the weights are around 24/25 lbs. for each front wheel and 26/27 lbs. for each rear wheel. Also, what would be the ideal tire setup for these wheels as well..?? I greatly appreciate the help provided! |
I have a few suggestions and questions...
What wheels are you getting? *The wheel face design will determine the offsets* typically if your going flush you can do: 20 x 9.5 +15~+20 20 x 11 +0 I dont recommend 9" wheels up front cause its will limit you to thinner tires, lead to fitment issues when it comes to bbk's and other issues that are debatable. *note you can fit wide tires but they will bulge and not look as clean as 9.5" rims* With that said on the offsets I just provided you... you can run 265's up front and 305's in the rear. This is just my opinion and my calculations of what we can fit. Trust me we can go a lot more aggressive or you can go mild to the normal 350z offsets and use spacers which I noticed you did not want to do. Depending on the face type the offsets I provided can net you a 3" front lip and a 5" rear lip... just some food for thought. The 370z really shines when you give it deep dish rims or freakishly deep concaves! |
Thanks bullitt..
These are the wheels I could probably be getting. It could be brushed aluminum finish or carbon fiber with painted lip (red like my Z but you get the idea from the picture). Sorry I can't give out the manufacturer just yet. These are 3-piece forged. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...ry/wheel_1.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...ry/wheel_2.jpg |
Hey PM me the manufacturer I want to do some research on the specs of the wheels. I might be interested in a set myself... they look really good!
|
damn mike how many wheels you buying?!
|
also depends on how much camber you want to run and if you are lowering or not.
my specs are 19x9 +24 19x11 +24 I'd suggest +20 in the rear, but no more aggressive up front when you are daily driving a car. Running about 1.6 camber up front and 1.8 in back. Lowered 1" on eibachs. http://www.the370z.com/members/carav...ear-side-2.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/carav...-rear-side.jpg |
like everyone has mentioned there are so many variables... you guys know I DD mine and its been slammed 3" already! I am currently running -3.3 in the rear and only -1.8 up front *need Camber arms* (everything is stock at the moment in regards to camber)
so yes my specs are daily drivable but I am also trying to get a tire sponsor too lol. I want me some free tires for a year! |
