It has been done, and I will probably do it soon since my stock wheels are about to be done.

Although it may technically "fit", your sidewalls are gonna balloon out on such a skinny wheel. Minimum wheel size I would personally run with a 305 would be 11".

305 is fine with a 10.5, I agree on 10 it is pushing it a bit but 295 seems to be a hard size to find for our car with the proper fitment. I do not think 305 will react that badly with our side wall.

A lot of it depends on the type of tire too. Some tend to bulge more than others, I've noticed.

I wouldnt want to risk tire failure honestly 305 is too much for a 10" wide tire

I put a 305 RE-11 on the 10" rim and it actually worked out pretty well. No noticeable bulge. Survived 14 auto-x events and 5000 miles.

Check out the fastest street tire, the Yokohama Advan Neova AD-08. I have them in 295/255 combos. Can't comment on performance, as I have 0 miles on them since I wrecked before using them, but they fit nicely on the factory width rims.

Let me know how they do, have not heard about those, everyone keeps talking about the V12s.

I just put 295 v12's on an 11" wheel and it is a perfect fit, no stretch or bulge. 305 on a 10" seems to really be pushing it.

They are supposed to be a true dual purpose street/track tire, good for 180 degree heat cycles. All the reviews are awesome. I was going to put them on for one dry session before the rain was due in but my mishap occurred before I could do so.

I wouldn't be to concerned with the tire failing. I am more concerned with the 215 on a 10" rim.

BTW nice sig. all bout the U!!!

Chris

it is all about the U
what do you mean with 215 on a 10"
Im now thinking of 295 instead of 305 do these numbers signify the width of the tires?
