Wheel Nuts

Guys, I remember seeing about 6 months ago, a thread on 370z wheel nuts and the correct lock nuts that fit. I browsed through all of the 138 pages in general discussions and couldn't find it. Was it in the general discussions section or some place else?

Yea but, my local Nissan dealer said the locks Nissan stocks are for the Coupe only. They don't stock locks for the Roadster wheel. This seems odd to me, but the parts guy looked up the locks, and that's what he found. I'm trying to figure out how I am going to find locks that are a proper fit for my wheels.

I got my wheel locks at thezstore.com. They gave me the correct ones.

I believe you have the sport wheels, those my dealer has locks for, it's the Roadster wheels that they don't have locks for. I tried the Z store site and they don't specify which wheels the locks are for, so I assume they're for the sport wheel.

uuuuuH For the same fitment (ie. base or sport), Don't the roadsters & the coupes have the same suspension/wheels/tires/etc.????

The 2010 owners Manual covers the coupe and the roadster and it makes no distinction between the two for wheels & tires. The only distinction is sport vs base and NISMO is also different.

I know you know this, but he Coupe base is a basic 5 spoke wheel, and the Sport pkg has the more stylized 5 spoke wheel. I can see how those two could be interchangeable. But the Roadster Touring wheel is a completely different style. Now, is the center "hub" the same on all of them? I would agree with you that they should have the same center hub, and would take the same locks, but the parts dept did not seem to think so. My parts guy at the Nissan Dealership just looked up wheel locks for a 2020 370Z and told me that the ones he had said; "for the Coupe only." So I don't know what to make of it. Maybe since the Roadster wheels are new for this year it isn't listed? This is what I am trying to find out. I can take one of the lug nuts off my Z, go to the dealer parts dept and compare it to the lug/lock of the coupe and see. Otherwise, at this point it doesn't make any sense. Thanks for the reply SigPapa.

All the 370z's (Coupe, Vert.....40th.....whatever) and a the whole Infiniti line up use this OEM lock lug. These Lock lugs only work with OEM wheels.

Just check the package the dealer gave me. I got the correct ones.

At least the stealership did something right!

BTW, should the other part# be for the 350s?

I did not get the sport package with my roaster. I got the spoke looking 18' rims. I'm going to the dealer tomorrow to find out if they have them for my car.

This topic has come at a good time for me. Here in Australia we only get one type of lock nut, the wrong ones.
I even spoke to Nissan Australia and they said that, they are the correct lock nuts for a 370Z. So my next question was, if I use them and something happens would the damage be covered by warranty? the answer was yes as we have this all documented.
So can someone please tell me what would happen if I use these wrong lock nuts? My wheels are the optional 19" Alcoa / Nissan ones which I imported because in Australia we only get the 18" OEM ones. This year things will change though and I wouldn't have thought lock nuts would have been this bigger problem.

Hi

Am in the process of importing the correct washer type out of the states (with some other parts), this would be your only option for the OEM wheels (18" or 19" Sports or Nismo OEM or Nismo aftermarket).

Sourced from Scott at Fontana Nissan, send me a PM and I will fill you in.
