40th anniv z. Swapping wheels/tires at no cost. Should I? Do you think the color combination matches? 285s in the back and 255sin the front (new potenzas)

frost 03-10-2010 08:24 PM

Doesnt match the interior

FuszNissan 03-10-2010 08:30 PM

Go for it!

AK370Z 03-10-2010 08:31 PM

I love the stock rims on the 40th anniversary. Also, as frost said, color doesn't go with the whole paint scheme. But hey, that's just my :twocents:

That being said, I'll buy your stockers with the quickness depending on the price

lol .. I got dibs on these! :rofl2: J/K ..

If any local member sells a set, I'm seriously thinking about putting it on and see how it looks on Monterey Blue. These are probably the most beautifully designed and painted rims by NISSAN till date

I'm in the market for stock rays anyway, them being painted only makes em sexier.

xbigb4ller69z 03-10-2010 08:49 PM

No, I think you're better off selling them to me so you have more money for some sweet aftermarkets.

xbigb4ller69z 03-10-2010 08:53 PM

Well im getting $2750 locally for the stock rims/tires so with that money Im thinkin about those te37s. I think im better off maybe keeping my rims and just lowering the z n put spacers

If you get spacers, get the H&Rs.;)

LateralG'z 03-10-2010 10:09 PM

keep it stock!

B1nks 03-11-2010 12:01 AM

You should get some gold CE28n or SSR Type-F. I think the gold look would do well on that car. It's gonna be hard to match red interior but I think that color wheel you have there on the TE37's looks just fine. You don't match the wheels with the interior, you make it look good with the exterior.

soCo 03-11-2010 12:05 AM

I like the bronze te37's. Don't think they would go with the red that comes with the 40th though (interior, calipers).

I would try to keep the car as stock as possible, since the 40th will be so rare and will become pretty much a classic it will be worth more if it's just left alone. My 2 cents.

Also, why not just do what you think looks good? It is after all, you're car...

xbigb4ller69z 03-11-2010 12:13 AM

I decided to leave the wheels stock. I just ordered 20mm and 25mm spacers along with kw coilovers. I want to improve the looks by getting rid of wheel gap... And in a fw months im thinking about the new stillen s/c or greddy twin turbo.

OMGWTFBBQ 03-11-2010 12:41 AM

Ooooh. Maybe you can post up a DIY on the parking brake removal/rear spacer installation.

Ztoon 03-11-2010 01:55 AM

Can't wait for your next thread........

sug.: navel gazing

xbigb4ller69z 03-11-2010 09:30 AM

Ill post it. Im purchasing spacers/coilovers today.

NYBladeZ 03-11-2010 10:53 AM

if they were black I'd jump on it, but the Bronze doesn't match anything else on the car.
