Went to Performance Motorsports
So I took a ride to Performance Motorsports in Shirley Long Island today to get a price on having all my goodies installed. I will get to that in a minute, but first I was told by Andy (owner/installer) that I'm going to have a shaking problem in the front if I install the H & R spacers. Now I know there was a problem with some spacers but I was sure that there isn't a problem with the H&R spacers that have the replacement studs. Please correct him (me) if he's wrong. He told me he would install them for me but I would be back to have them removed. I would also like to know how you folks feel about the shop. I was given a price of $480.00 + tax to install front and rear spacers, Eibach springs and the ever popular FI cat back exhaust. Your thoughts please. I will be going to Vinny Ten on Thursday. If there are any other shops that are recommended in the Long Island or the Westchester area please let me know
Kindest regards, Tom

Dude you could have the exhaust done in your driveway, does $480 include an alignment? The work you listed doesn't sound that intensive I'm pretty sure any experienced mechanic could take care of it. I'd also out Jan at Eurosport on Jericho turnpike across the street from Huntington Honda, he's great.

That's what I thought. No alignment and to be honest, I got a bad vibe from him. When he came into the show room to speak with me, he was ready to blow past my handshake to get to his calculator and being a business owner myself I would never great a potential customer like that. I will definitely take your advice and check out Eurosport. Thanks for the heads up. He quoted me $80.00 per hour and I just don't see this all taking 6 hours to do when most are saying that it takes about 1.5 to 2 hours for the exhaust, so that would leave 4 hours for springs and spacers? Thanks again for the tip, Tom

Tom,
I'll talk to my boy Kamz, he just installed both my carbon doors and is pretty experienced with cars. Not an official mechanic but hey he's been working on his own cars for awhile. He's had an s52 M coupe, 350z, and an s54 M coupe. He can get that exhaust on for you for real cheap, euro sport should be able to take care of your spacers and alignment and we know them for quite some time so name dropping wouldn't hurt.
